We pulled in immediately after our overheating light came on and dad was on the scene in seconds. We had a 7 hour drive ahead of us and Dad got us back on the road in a few hours. He was incredibly thoughtful and worked hard with his crew to get us back home. Couldn't recommend this place and these people enough! Thanks, Dad!

Fan! Flippin! Tastic! I made the whoopies of renting a uhaul 2 sizes too small and guess who saved the day, Dad did! It’s always the dad’s! Anyways, he was able to find us the truck size we needed and he was even able to get us the super rare but amazing new vehicle trailers! My husbands truck fit perfectly especially with his help! The district manager was great too! It was overall an amazing environment! They even have a cat, it was so darn cute!

I’ve given this place too many chances. I first brought my car in for a simple light issue — they kept asking me to bring it back over and over. I went there seven times with no real fix. I eventually had to take the car to Peoria to finally get it sorted.
Later, after a minor bumper issue, I gave them another chance. I dropped the car off as scheduled and walked to work — they promised to call when it was done. By after 5 PM, I still hadn’t heard from them, so I called… only to be told they never even touched the car and asked if they could just leave my key on the dashboard since they were closing.
This level of service is completely unprofessional. Poor communication, zero urgency, and clearly no respect for people’s time. I won’t be going back, and I wouldn’t recommend this shop to anyone who values their time or vehicle.

The crew here at Dad’s has been nothing short of Amazing! They are fair and honest, told me what absolutely needed done right away. What I had time to wait on but still suggested, and then was transparent in the process of resolving my issues all at a fair price!

Have been doing business here for some time and always satisfied with the work done. Easy to see that the good reviews out number the negative ones. All good businesses will have a few bad comments the same as we all have a bad day from time to time. Thank you Mark for your honest work. Harder and harder to find tat these days.

So, we live 3 hours away from Macomb IL and our daughter goes to WIU. On her way back to school after winter break, she developed car issues. As it was sub zero temperatures and she was already 2 hours away, we met her in the Quad Cities. I drove the car to Macomb and based solely on favorable Facebook reviews on a WIU page, we dropped the car off after hours at Dad's Place Automotive Repair in Macomb. By 9 am, he called and already had looked at the car and found that it was likely moisture in the fuel system that caused the issue. They went over the entire car and found it to be fine, he added some fuel treatment and they did not charge but for the cost of the treatment. Mark's honesty and integrity shone through and we are very relieved to have an honest mechanic available to our daughter all of those miles from home. The reviews speak truth and this is a good shop. Thanks, Dad!!!

I can't tell you how many times dads has come to my rescue and helped me with my car. I highly recommend dads to anyone having car troubles! His customer service is amazing and they are always helpful!!!!

My car broke down close by on a Sunday evening and so I pulled into lot- I called ‘dad’ and even though it was a weekend evening he took time to talk to me and helped me figure out what to do. Did a great job on diagnostics- didn’t charge anything for it either.Highly recommend Dad’s Garage!
