I booked a car to go to idaho to pick up my kids. I understood I would need a credit card for the rental but my husband and I only have a cc with a 200 limit and it was a 300 deposit on top of 200 for the rental and they could not split the payment to use a debit for the deposit nor take cash leaving us with no opitions the guy at the desk didn't even try to help find a solution just said it was Policy and then got upset when my husband stormed out frustrated and tried to accuse him of hitting his car ( not that we even know it was his car parked next to where we parked) they also told us my husband couldn't pay for the car being it was reserved under my name so we were going to change the reservation but was told we would also have to pat another 15 /day for me to drive it vehicle that is crazy we ended up not getting a car and taking our own vehicles ( which we were worried about driving that far)

Duwayne was great to deal with. Very professional and helpful. Car was clean and ready early. Drop off was efficient and took no time at all. Great place to rent a set of wheels.

EDIT 2: Received an email reply stating they will forward this to the regional manager in Macomb. Eerily similar to when I was told I would get a call back as they were definitely going to get me in a vehicle. Never got a call back.
I think Enterprise as a company has a lot of work to do to make it the next 10 years. I rent each year for family vacations and this was by far the biggest unorganized disaster I have had to deal with.
I booked over a week in advance online with their advertised 'no credit card required to book'! When I arrived on the day of my vacation I was told as per their policy for that branch, you have to have a credit card with 1k on it to rent a premium vehicle. This was a low blow to fund out hours before leaving but it was their policy. I feel the bookings online should ask for a credit card in advance to confirm.
I was told I could use a debit card on another vehicle and I asked for 15 minutes to check with my family if we could make a smaller vehicle work. As I was on the phone they rented the other vehicle to someone else,
I called Enterprise to find out if other branches could help as the reps had no interest in helping me find a replacement from another branch.
The rep I called told me I could use a debit card as long as I had a bill due to living in the same town. They then admitted they were wrong and found me a car in Galesburg, which would be a 30 min drive. They assured me I could use a debit card there and there was a vehicle for me. After I insisted they verified this for me they returned that I couldn't. Had I left on their initial booking I would have wasted a 30 min drive.
They then booked me a minivan here at Macomb. When I went in, this was already booked for another customer.
I called again to try to get some help and was told I would get a call back from a manager as they were going to make sure I got into a vehicle. I never got the call back.
Thankfully I found an app ( Turo ) which will definitely be the end of Enterprise. I was able to get a vehicle at 1am, much better than any of the ones offered by Enterprise and the hosts actually care about helping you. I will use this app for my yearly vacations from now on instead of the ridiculous hassle of Enterprise.
I also think Enterprise should look at customer history. If they have spent 1-2k a year for the last 10 years with them and no issues on any returned vehicles, maybe consider allowing debit cards to be used. Not all of us want to own credit cards.

Went ok at first used the car from Wednesday to Friday.They took me in the rental to the body shop as my car was done. I had signed all paperwork off two weekslater they called and asked when i was going to return the car. I said i had already returned it they said it wasnt there. I told them they needed to speak to there employee cause he took it back to shop. They later called and told me they found the car on the lot.

I reserved a truck on Thursday May 16, 2024. Things changed and didn't need a truck so i canceled the reservation and started a new reservation to rent a nissan rogue from Friday the 17th to Sunday the 19th. I did everything online. Had my information all in, set time to pickup this morning, and had gotten the confirmation number and receipt via email. I arrived this morning for the scheduled pickup here in Macomb, Illinois at 9am for the rogue. I walk inside and the guy tells me there's no cars available that I would be put on the list. NO I MADE A RESERVATION AND IT WAS VERY IMPORTANT TO HAVE A RENTAL CAR THIS MORNING. I never got a call stating one came back in early today. I go by there later today and they had 2 vehicles sitting there!!! Again NEVER GOT A CALL!! VERY dissatisfied with their service and i DO NOT SUGGEST MAKING RESERVATIONS ONLINE BECAUSE YOU WON'T GET A CAR, A CALL, OR ANYTHING. VERY POOR SERVICE!!!!!

I am writing this here because you guys need to fix up, I came to rent a car and I couldn’t find my license, I came back to say that they should help me check but I was told that they didn’t find anything in the car, only for me to get a call from them weeks later that they found my license.
This is not the only enterprise location this thing has happened to me. It was the first and I am leaving this review here cos it looks like it’s a trend with enterprise locations. If a customer came back to say they left an item, you guys should make an effort to help them find it not gaslight them into thinking they don’t know what they are saying!

I found myself needing a vehicle at 4 PM on a Monday and was able to rent one by 4:30 thanks to DuWayne & Antonio. They made a stressful situation a little bit easier for me.

It’s nice to see them doing business I Macomb as there are no other renting companies available here. They do not have enough stock and rates are pretty high compare to other city due to remote locations. I have rented cars several times and return them on time.

I needed to rent a car to drive quite a distance. Antonio and DuWayne called me a few days ahead of time to confirm my reservation. Had a car available upon my arrival, were very informative and patient at the time of my pick up and drop off. I will be using enterprise again in the very near future.

We booked a car month ago for drive to airport. My husband even called them couple days before we pic up the car just to confirm the time and date and when we reached there to pic up the car the manager Dalton Myers said he doesn’t have a car for us and we should look for other options. We showed him an email confirmation but he rejected to give a car. We had to catch a flight the same day in couple hours. Worst worst worst service. Called their headquarters but no response. Nobody seems to care and nobody response to your complain. Please please don’t rent a car with enterprise. Never had such worst experience before. Save your time and money and never book with these people. They don’t care about your emergency or your need. Hope this helps you before you rent a car with Enterprise.

This business has some of the most helpful and friendly staff I have ever encountered!!! Went above and beyond to get me just what I wanted and needed!!! Will definitely be renting all of my vehicles from here from now on!!!
