“This is one of the dreamiest places on earth, the energy is great and there are so many interesting things to buy. I bring my kids here at least once a year, bc we live out of state. If you're into metaphysics, healing, energy, chakras, gems, history, artifacts, jewelry or art, you must stop here and take it all in!”
“Saw this with my class at the time. We saw Frankenstein, and it was absolutely phenomenal in every way. All but a few of the actors seem like they were trying their best, and that best was DAAAAAMMMNN good. Victor Frankenstein and The Creation acted the best of them all, and really ignited my interest. Started out sleepy and expecting trash, came out with my passion for theater ignited and my absolute attention grabbed”
“Take a stroll over to the RME Art Studio and venture in to see the stunning art works of Rachel Malcolm Ensor. The studio is open to the public on Saturdays from 10-5PM. Rachael is an accomplished educator with a PHD in Art History, a master’s in modern art with a specialty in African Studies, and a BFA in Painting from the Kansas City Art School Institute. She is a retired professor at SIUC with a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Virginia. Each unique canvas/painting that she produces is an absolute masterpiece with such a detailed history and story behind each design. The mixed media that she creates from organic sources towards abstraction is awe-inspiring. It was just a pleasure to learn so much about art and African history in the brief time I visited the studio. From this day forward I will look at art differently and I can honestly say that I have learned to appreciate every stroke of an artist’s brush.”
“Visions has a unique and tasteful inventory and the owner's warmth and enthusiasm create an enjoyable shopping experience. I highly recommend you make the trip to Makanda to visit this store.”
