Today I called the local # for the Marengo PO & spoke with Ann(I think). Very helpful, very nice & totally assertive. There has never been a bad call into this particular PO but she really made me feel like she would do what was within her power at that moment to help me with whatever I needed regarding my package that was in transit. That's how I was taught to ensure good customer service and she was everything that I would expect from a USPS CSR!!! For the first time in a long time I can say I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS!!!
And thank you for the great service Marengo PO!

On 4/21, a delivery driver from SpeedX put a package in my mailbox unbeknownst to me. In fact, I was notified by SpeedX that the package was delivered to our porch. In checking the porch, it was not there! I checked with the vendor and delivery company to try to find the package. They advised to check with my neighbors to see if it was possibly misdelivered. After checking everywhere, I became frantic and could only assume the package was stolen or lost and filed a claim with my bank
I find out the next day, 4/22, that the postal carrier removed the package from the mailbox or should I say in her words, “I confiscated the package” but could get it back if I wanted to pick it up or have it re-delivered for $10 postage!! I know carriers other than the post office should not be putting things in the mailbox but this is seriously NOT my fault and let me tell you, that lady working at the post office when I went to see about my package was just waiting for me!! I had barely gotten out what I was there to pick up and to address the $10 they wanted me to pay before she said “You have to take that up with the shipper.” She quickly dismissed me and was incredibly rude and curt with no empathy or concern for what I had to say. I tried to explain how the instructions were to put the package on the porch and the delivery driver indicated that’s where it was and we had no information at that time that the USPS carrier had taken the package out of the mailbox. Let me tell you, that lady, whose name I regret not getting, that was working this morning on 4/23 at around 8:30 AM thinks she is the USPS gestapo!! I mean, seriously, we live out in the country in Marengo and she had to “confiscate the package!” She was quick to point out it’s against federal regulations for anyone but USPS to put something in our mailbox, but the postal carrier obviously has no problem taking cash out of the envelope at Christmas time, which is against postal regulations!!

My package sat in their facility for 11 days before being processed for delivery. Had to send a replacement order to my customer. Now I have to pay to have the replacement shipped back to me. How do they lose so many packages? Where are they siting for over a week before being delivered?

this post office and apartment complexes do not mix. I have requested NUMEROUS times that my mail just be left at the door step and constantly it is an issue with these people. being someone who does not have the privilege of being unemployed, my working hours and the post office's operating hours and nearly identical and I do not work close by to this post office. so I am left with the options of a. just don't get my mail or b. take time out of MY work schedule and miss out on MY money because they refuse to just leave the package at the door. what brings my to my complaint is the fact that I scheduled a redelivery for one of my packages, writing in the notes that I am expressing consent for the package to be left at the door and today I check my tracking to see that they have kindly decided they're not gonna deliver the package at all and that I can just come pick it up from them, no notification of this or contact of any sort.
