Overpriced! 3 tamale boats (tamale/chili/cheese) should NOT cost $18+... Salad with garlic dressing was good.

After having been here several times, my wife and I decided to give the chili cheese tamales a try. They were not very good and it's definitely bit of a stretch to even call it "chili".If I would known they were going to charge me $18.75 for 3 tamales (5 total) I would have ordered my usual Fettuccine Bistecca instead, but don't think we'll be coming back. $85 for lunch with 3 people, when 2 ordered tamales is unacceptable.2 stars only because of decent service. Not recommended.

Had lunch at Bennie's today for the first time. Everything was an A+. We had the cheese stix, baked lasagna, and spicy sausage alfredo. Highly recommend.

Thought this would be a classic old Italian restaurant, but alas, they opt to cut some corners to save, and the quality of the food is not as expected, being the oldest running restaurant in Marion. My Italian beef was not that great, the bread was tough to eat, and the sandwich in no way represented true Chicago style Italian beef. Lots of different types of food that it was not an Authentic Italian experience. I picked it as it was stated the oldest running restaurant and being Italian since the early days of Marion, was expecting more than I should have hoped for.

Restaurants are about SO MUCH MORE THAN FOOD.I was visiting the area, duck hunting, and met the owner of Bennie's.He let us know about his restaurant as we had a few drinks wrapping up the hunt. Our group decided to stop over at the restaurant, and we had a fantastic experience, all of the people were great, service was great, the food was great. John and his wife welcomed us like family, John told us about the history of the restaurant, and some of the food including, an odd Italian item, Hot Tamales, for an appetizer that were outstanding.I had the baked lasagna, which was fantastic, and our group had a great time.If you're in the area, it is worth stopping for sure!!Thanks John, from the Indiana boys!!

We ate here before attending a concert and although the restaurant was very busy we had great service and the food was delicious and the portions were good sized and the prices average. Would highly recommend.

The owner Lynn Hill is very rude to employees. While dinning in she was degrading her employees and is very unprofessional! I would not recommend dining in this establishment. Any business owner who would talk down on their own employees I just simply can not support. Poor business management and poor leadership skills. Absolutely disgusting that an owner of a business would set such a bad example for the rest of her employees and especially do so in front of paying customers.

Good food. Good service. BUT, wish entree included a small side salad. Entree is expensive enough to include this. I would go there more often if it did, especially now there is a new Olive Garden fairly close by.
