Update: My wife called today and they tried to blame us as to why we’re out of food. Truck still hasn’t come in apparently and no one can tell us. Our dog is now vomiting and they say they can’t do anything for us without manager’s approval.I would NOT recommend taking your pets here or to any of the other locations that the parent company owns (Greater Vision Vet Care). The receptionists are incompetent. It took them months to finally have the correct contact info for us in their system, although they still think we own another pet that we don’t actually own (it’s my sister’s). Our dog is currently refusing to eat anything because we ran out of his prescription food two days ago. We called on Tuesday to buy more (before we were out) and they claimed they would get a delivery on Wednesday. That delivery still hasn’t come in apparently (today is Sunday). In order to find out our dog needed to be on a special food, we had to spend thousands of dollars for them to tell us that “he just has a sensitive stomach.” That was after several x-rays and exploratory surgery. Their answer to any health problem seems to be medication. I’m over their nonsense and tired of them wasting our time. I’m looking for a new vet after I post this.

I brought my dog in for a blockage and they wanted to tell me there was ni blockage that it was just pancreatitis. I told them he ate his toy. she just sent us home with meds. 3 days later he was sick again and lethargic. Took him in and then they say he has a blockage. They do surgery and take the toy out but it perforated his bowel. 2 days later I had to put him down because he went septic. I lost my boy and my best friend because Melanie Ross was bot thorough and did not listen to me. Not to mention it cost 5600$ and I don't have him.Je would still be here if she would of treated him for the blockage when I brought him in there for that.Very very heartbroken and angry!

This is the only clinic in southern IL I will bring my pets to. I have had nothing but positive experiences here. The doctors, technicians and CSRs are always so nice and accommodating. I have one reactive dog and they are always so slow and patient with her and us. Yes, their prices are high but the price tag matches the high quality service.

The team at Pet Wellness always goes above and beyond. Everyone is so knowledgeable and kind. They take the time to explain procedures, medications, and options. I can't imagine taking my pups anywhere else. As much of a worrier as I am, the skill and empathy here gives me so much peace of mind.

I sincerely don't think that I've ever seen any of the employees in a bad mood. The young ladies on the Day Care side are extremely kind & always happy!! I LOVE what this facility has provided for our pet. He LOVES it even more than us!!

Was impressed with the efficiency and throughness of the staff. We recently had to have our sweet Aussie, Scout euthanized. The Dr and PA's compassion made a very difficult process less heartbreaking. We will continue, having them take care of our new girl Cheyenne on the left.

The staff at PWC has always been very polite and welcoming. The staff seem to know what they’re doing and they’ve taken good care of my several pets— 2 mixed breed dogs, 2 cats, and a bearded dragon. My only problem with them is how expensive they are. I rarely have an appointment with them that doesn’t involve me walking away having spent >$200. Sometimes I feel it is worth it, sometimes not. One of my cats had a urine blockage and almost died. Their care, attention, and recommendations have kept him healthy and well since his initial blockage.

This is a wonderful clinic! I was to the point if they couldn’t help my dog I was seriously considering putting my dog down. He was hurting so bad I felt so bad. They seen him told me what to do and gave him the medication he needed and within 2 days he was better and up walking around where he couldn’t before. I recommend this clinic to everyone if the are having trouble with their pet or even if they are not having trouble. They have a lot of preventative procedures that you need to check out!

My regular vet is on vacation and my FIV cat needed 2 shots her regular vet always gives her to calm her digestive issues. This was explained to Pet Wellness when I called them and they made her appt. Once I drove 40 miles to get there and showed documentation what her regular vet does for her, the Pet Wellness vet never came into the room and left it up to the vet tech to tell me they would not give her the injections that have always worked for her. Instead they wanted to do blood work and a bunch of tests. Guess to get more $$'s from me that I couldn't afford. We left without her getting the shots she needed.

i can honestly say i HATE this place and won't be going back. i loved the first visit i had with them, after that it just kept going DOWNHILL. first, my dog had heart worm treatment a couple months ago, had to pay $3000 for it.. it was quoted like $1800-$2000.. then i took my dog there today because she wasn't walking right, her back legs kept coming out from underneath her and she can't keep her balance, she's running into the walls, doors, and everything else, she has rapid eye movement, a head tilt, and she threw up last night and was coughing.. paid $300 for them to ONLY look at her and take her blood and urine.. they came back and said nothings wrong with her and sent us home with an anti-inflammatory medication "in case" she pulled something in her back... i called about the rapid eye movement after the visit and they said she's probably just over stimulated and let her lay in the dark with air conditioning.. WHAT? i'm going somewhere else tomorrow morning ASAP because something is just NOT RIGHT. They are also just NOT FRIENDLY, and they OVER CHARGE!! Quotes are never right and they DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR ANIMAL!! edit: TOOK HER TO WEST FRANKFORT ANIMAL HOSPITAL AND THEY SAID SHE HAS AN INNER EAR INFECTION CAUSING VESTIBULAR PROBLEMS!! she has to have 4 medications, ear drops, and had to have 2 shots!! and it was STILL $70 CHEAPER THAN PET WELLNESS EVEN THOUGH PET WELLNESS TOLD ME NOTHING IS WRONG WITH HER AND SENT HER HOME!! I called to complain, and was told a manager would call me back about a refund. NEVER got a call back. I called back the next day, and after a heated discussion where they tried to give me the run around and smooth me over, they say it's not possible to receive a refund and they will be calling me tomorrow. Not sure what for, but will be looking forward to it!! I paid $570 TOTAL between both facilities to find out my dog has an INNER EAR INFECTION!! ALMOST $600!! RIDICULOUS!!

This is a beautiful facility, but don’t let that fool you. Working in boarding is not a safe environment here, dogs aren’t given the “enrichment” that you were promised. And they don’t receive actual “walks”.I Would never board my animals here. Or take part in doggy daycare.Too many dogs for one worker, the possibility of a fight breaking out, or your dog developing bad habits is too high.Boarding isn’t for all dogs, if you can find someone that can take them in a home setting please do that first.

We were very pleased with our visit to pet wellness. We enjoy the expertise of Dr. Smith he has always taken good care of our dog Gracie. We had to board both our dogs Gracie and our new pup Annabelle. We had Gracie boarded at a different place before and she came home scared and acted strangely for a few days. I really didn’t want to board her again but trusted Dr. Smith and his crew. My dogs came back happy and healthy with no signs of stress. This was such a relief. Thank you Pet Wellness for such great care of our pups!
