This place had a great staff for years. The moment those staff members quit/got laid off, it's been a total disaster.
POS systems crash constantly, forming huge lines of annoyed customers, taking almost a half hour for one person to check out. A majority of time you have to pay cash only because of this... or card only.
The self check out never works. If it does work, it can only take card, ironically. Customers can't even scan the items themselves. The staff has to, and if only one is working, they have to abandon their actual register, leaving an even bigger line of tired, angry customers.
The manager should be ashamed. Corporate has been absolutely useless serving this community. This place is a joke.

10 stars for Trevor!! But 0 for the guy "helping him" with the line of 8 - 10 people. The helper had his ear buds in and was completely ignoring customers asking him for help as he wandered here and there. . . If this had been one of my employees I would have fired this guy in the spot

Shelves are always empty. They say they have the items you need but it's in the back and they are working short handed so they can't get to it. Either hire help are change management. It's ridiculous to have a store with bare shelves with stock room full of inventory.

Management at the Marissa il dollar general are completely an absolutely horrendous to the people they employ, threatening to fire them for asking questions and nothing more. Absolutely disgusting I can't imagine any employee will want to work under this bully much longer.

Management is rude and disrespectful to the employees, I could stand it if it was a customer they were being rude to. But to be rude and disrespectful to the people who are under you is so disgusting.

Well, Every time I go for products jc or josh directs me, even gives me what isle and where it's located. I believe that is ABOVE AND BEYOND THEIR NORMAL DUTIES, Because both JC and Josh have taken me, if I'm still not following or it they wanna make sure I find it.
