This dealer is worth my driving 20 miles to, because every Department is top-notch including service. There are many other dealerships in between my home, and Arnie Bauer, but they are the best I have found. Highly recommended.

So I'm trying to be a reasonable man about my car situation but I'm frustrated right now. I come into this dealership and explain my situation with recalls on my 2011 gmc terrain. Now how I know this guy is pushing me off is by his tone when I show papers of recalls on my car. He was quick to say the recall wasn't open on it. I showed papers and online papers to get my car fixed. He honored two out of 3 papers that I have. I talked to Phil the service manager and he was able to work it out with me so I'm good with that. I got what I wanted but dealing with mark, I'm not dealing with that bs.

This service department is the absolute worst! Mark Deihl is a sexiest condescending jackass and has no business in customer service. I went in for a simple tire replacement on Wednesday, as this was the closest authorized Nitrofill dealer and I wasn't comfortable driving it to Peotone, where I purchased the car, on a donut. The tire replacement ended up taking three hours, which was blamed on the Nitrofill people. However, I was calm and understanding. Whatever. I left and hopped onto 57 to get home to my kids and my entire car started shaking. I pulled off at Volmer to take Cicero home and asked my husband to make sure the lug nuts were tightened, as I thought that could maybe be the issue. Nope, they're all fine. I call Thursday and spoke to a wonderful woman who got me I early Friday morning (today). I finally get a call from Mark that they checked their work and it was done perfectly. But that I apparently had a multitude of other issues. I reiterated to him, multiple times, that the shaking was new since I left their facility and I was met with "how do we know that?!" Implying I was lying. However, one of the issues he mentions over the phone was a bent something or other on the tire that was replaced, but of course, it wasn't them. Then, when I went to pick it up he then starts telling me it's the front tires causing the shaking, and that he drove it himself and it wasn't that bad. Well, any shaking, in my opinion, is bad. Especially when it wasn't doing that before I left it with them FOR A SIMPLE TIRE REPLACEMENT! He refused to take ownership of their mistake and make it right, so here I am to warn others. Stay far away, and if you HAVE to go there do NOT deal with Mark Deihl, especially if you are a woman there by yourself.

THIS WAS THE EMAIL SENT FROM ARNIE BAUER BUICK to me: Mr. Bauer is a busy man and he had asked me follow up on his behalf. You are being very demanding and rude for a person asking for a favor. This vehicle will sell in the next week or two so we do not need to discount it. Obviously nobody wants to help you near where you live so you are reaching out to us. Rude

We went to Arnie Bauer Buick looking for a used car that we saw on-line. Unfortunately, at that moment another customer was test driving the same car, and they purchased it. We were disappointed, however, the salesperson was already searching for that exact car model for us. Thankfully there was another one of the same car available at another dealer -- across the country! Arnie Bauer Buick actually had the car shipped to their dealership and called us when it was available. They gave us a reasonable price, and we made the deal and took the car home the same day. They went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied and got the car we wanted. Thanks so much to this dealership! Their service department is excellent as well.

I needed a rare tire for my 2012 Cadillac and called several Good Year and Cadillac dealers who all said they had none in stock and couldn't find one anywhere after a 15 min look. I then tried Arnie Bauer Cadillac and talked to Bill in the Service Dept., who said "We need to get you a tire somehow" and said he was transferring me to Lyndsay in the Parts Dept, and was going to walk over and help her look thru various sites. Lyndsay in Parts together with Bill kept looking and said that they still couldn't find anything but would keep looking and would call me back when they find something. An hour later Lyndsay called me back to say they found me a tire AND SHE WAS GOING TO GO PICK IT UP SO I COULD HAVE IT FOR THE NEXT DAY! I can't believe and can't adequately convey my appreciation for the concern and persistence they showed, almost like it was their own problem! You rarely if ever come across this kind of outstanding customer service. Lyndsay warned me that the tire was going to be expensive (around $400) but I was lucky that the one nail didn't penetrate and the other nail could be plugged and repaired, so only cost me $26.57 (Good Year said $40 to plug)! But also shows their honesty that they passed up making a huge profit to help the customer save money! The Service Advisor Vince couldn't have been nicer too. I have to say that they have won a new customer from the Caddy dealer I used to use and I really think that Arnie Bauer should really be proud of his outstanding team he has there!

If I could I'd leave 0 stars. Had appointment to have car serviced. Pulled in at appt time and was told I had to wait for Mark. A few minutes later a gentleman walked up behind me- his car was ready- but apparently the only one that could help him was the elusive Mark. Numerous employees available to hop both of us-none did. 15 min later I canceled appointment and left- the guy was still waiting to get his car. Looks like once you are assigned to someone no one else is able or willing to help you. I'll go elsewhere.

Terrible buying experience. I repeatedly called and e-mailed the dealership about a truck, was sent to 2 different sales people who didn't follow up with me. When I would call to talk to the receptionist because the phones were straight to voicemail, I was assured it was still available for me and they would call me back. They didn't. And when I did call back myself -- again -- suddenly it was sold.

Had my truck worked on multiple times. Zero problems! Quality service at a fair price and treated with respect. What else can you ask for. Thank you Arnie Bauer.... I shall return!!!!
