This bank is terrible! I had an account with them and they closed it because there was “no activity” and I was never reimbursed for the money that was in my account. Years later I try to open a new account with them and im met with disrespect! I was told to bring multiple forms of identification and that the date they were issued had to be months apart? Finally I bring 3 forms of identification and the female manager I was met with rudely told me that she decided not to open an account for me and would not disclose the reasons. After they already asked me for all of my personal information the 3 times I visited the location. They even asked my for my social security number over the phone. Terrible service.

I'm done! I've been with First American for ten years. First problem was last summer when they wrongly charged me a $40 fee. Lauren wouldn't reverse the charge and corporate would only reverse half!? Now, today the fraud department texts that my purchase at a gas station was suspicious. I responded that it was okay. Few hours later I try to make a purchase and my debit card is declined. I call and eventually get the fraud department. They tell me that everything looks fine and I would have to call the bank on Monday. It's Saturday, I'm 40 miles from home, my gas tank is low, and I have no cash on me. I'm not F'ing with you anymore First American Bank!!! ðŸ˜

Just opened up an account. Such a wonderful and friendly bank! I have never felt more welcomed. They don't have all the features a larger bank would, but they have most of them and they're local.

This is my least favorite bank to do business with. They use bait and switch and unsavory business tactics.please read all fine print on any documents you sign.i know first hand they froze my bank account and took my money including my VA government protected funds.basically rating them a zero.Matteson has no use for a bank like this
