I've been a long time customer at Harbor Freight and have visited a number of their stores. The store in Matteson, IL is by far the best one I have been to. The store is clean, organized and well stocked. The people who work at this store are by far, the friendliest and most helpful. It's always a pleasure to go there.

Horrible customer service I went to the one by my house looking for a 20 ton bottle jacket. They didn’t have it but said there was one at this location. I figured I’d call and ask if they could put it to the side while I was on my way. The guy said let me check to see if we have one on hold 30 minutes on hold and the phone got disconnected I call back he said let me check again even after I mentioned I was just put on hold Joe all the way to the store while on hold for 20 minutes when I got inside the workers were just talking to each other and no one was looking for anything. They just had me on hold and of course, none was on the shelf when I asked about it didn’t even get my sentence out. He said we don’t have any.

Whether you’re there for a big ticket item or microfiber clothes they carry it. I have never experienced anything but great customer service. The staff will take the time to explain the products. This is something that the big box stores lacks and learn from!

Stopped into this location to do a "price match adjustment" and didn't have any issues. Hubby recently bought a tire jack set for $49.99 and two days later it went on sale for $29.99. We took our original receipt along with the online coupon we printed and they happily gave us the $20 (plus tax) back in cash! Very friendly staff....not our local location but definitely will patronize again!

The store overall is good however the cashier Nakeera was very rude towards my mother telling her with attitude to put her own number into the computer after my mom asked if she was going to ask for her ITC number. Not only that but she lashed out and flicked the computer towards my mom. Nakeera was on her phone the entire time talking to someone on her airpods ignoring my mom but once my mom put her phone number in for her ITC membership Nakeera said under her breath that it wasn't worth the hassle. However she had the nerve to ask the next customer what their number was with a complete 180 in attitude and tone in her voice.

First time in HF store. Middle of the day only hand count cars parked outside. There is no customer service for 15 mins. Two HF employee, one in cash register another in computer in the office. The store is a little dinky size of a Dollar store with hardware products. You are pretty much on your own no help. Only technical customers know where to find what and get their stuff quick. Now I know why people go to Menards and HD . This is my first and last time in HF store.
