No breakfast. Homeless people will bombard you in the parking lot. staff is rude and house keeping will bang on your door at around 8:30 to make sure your getting ready to leave....(must not be allowed to leave until after they clean your room the way they act) always ask for 2-3 keys to your room bc theres a 65% chance the card they gave you doesn't work and now you have to walk a mile and wait in the elevator with god knows who in this really bad part of town.

The price definitely doesn’t match the room so I assumed I was charged for the location I was assigned to room 137. I guess being a IHG member means absolutely nothing to this property. The rooms definitely need upgrading. Very outdated and no hot water. I informed the front desk staff and was told “There’s a lot going on here”. as she proceeded her business on her cell phone. SMH! as if I was interrupting her. No apology or a reduction off my rate was given. I requested to speak with a manager and was told “the manager was not in”. There was 10 people standing outside my room at 4:00 a.m talking extremely loud and I couldn’t sleep at all. I informed the front desk and was told “I’ll inform security” I left for 25 minutes and came back and they were still there. I literally had to ask them myself to leave. The next morning I asked when would the coffee be ready? The lady at the front desk said that it would be out in 10 minutes and I waited. Then I asked another lady and she said 20 minutes. Needless to say, I never got the coffee. After being in the hotel industry for 20 years myself I must say that the staff at the front desk was extremely unprofessional and desperately need hospitality training immediately. I do have to mention the one staff member who checked us in was competent and welcoming. Needless to say I can’t wait to speak with the GM regarding my horrible experience. Stay here at your own risk.

Let me start by saying that I am a highly disappointed with the services that were received. Towards the beginning of the week on Tuesday, I called the hotel to make sure that they participated in direct billing. In case most people aren't aware of what direct bill is.... I am a state worker and when I work for a different county, my job pays for me to stay in a hotel so that I can properly do my job and also so I don't have to drive very far away as this isn't the area that I serve. The Worker I spoke with on Tuesday told me that they did do direct billing and to call the front desk to book a reservation so, I did so and I gathered the correct paperwork that I needed as I usually do because this isn't my first time doing this and I thought I was ready to go. After working a long shift, I went home, got my clothing and drove one hour and 30 minutes to the hotel on Friday, March 15th. Upon arriving, I gave the Paperwork to the staff member named Kim and she asked looked at the paperwork and stated they don't do Direct bill. I guess I was confused because I just spoke to someone that said that they did. There was another worker if Mistaken name, Nija ( can't confirm but I heard Kim say this ) present also. I asked the worker what can be done and she pretty much told me that I couldn't do anything until the manager comes at 9 AM. This was pretty much a inconvenience as I drove one hour and 30 minutes to get there and then I would have had to drive another one hour and 30 minutes to get back home just to drive another hour and 30 minutes to get back out towards this area because I was scheduled to work early in the morning. So I decided to sit and wait to see if there was something to do in which it was already already around 10 PM the girl who I believe name Nija was a little helpful as she was on the phone with someone and asking me information however, the other lady never came assist me as I said on the side in complete exhaustion and confusion. I noticed I didn't see the other girl anymore and it had already been two hours so I went to the front desk to ask the worker Kim, who was the other Work in speaking to. She stated she was unsure as she was off, but she will call her general manager to see if there Be done. She was on the phone with someone and I can tell by how the conversation was going that the other person assisted that I get checked in but then at some point the lady Kim act well how would you get paid for this. This eventually led to her, telling me that again there was nothing she could do, and I will have to come back at 9 AM when the manager comes. I pretty much had nowhere So I decided to just sleep in my car until the morning time where I can go grab breakfast and then come back to the hotel. At 9am I called the hotel and spoke to the manager Mya whom stated she needed to make a call and would call me back to confirm. She called me back about 25 mins later and reported that everything was straightened out and that I can be checked in. Upon arriving she told me it was her that I had spoken to at the beginning of the week that confirmed this and that the other workers may not knew how to do it so that's why they didn't. This was a big inconvenience because not only did I have to sleep in my car, my room was sold and Instad of a kind bed I had to get two doubles. Also I was very sleepy for my work day as I didn't get adequate sleep. I had to spend money on breakfast which if I had been checked in Friday night I would have gotten complementary breakfast at the hotel. I'm very upset at the inconvenience I endured while being on my work business trip !Food & drinks: N/a

Sorry but one of the most honest reviews I can give Ok location and looks ok from the outside but had to have my room moved right away after checking in the first room was across from a 15 wide wall that was torn down and tented off just a little off putting and my rooms ac unit was as loud as a car without a muffler hall ways are very dark decently a cool main lobby and the staff are very understanding and nice but the building is really starting to show it's age work out room had workout equipment but it was very dated they have a pool BUT IT IS COMPLETLY DRAINED AND CLOSED , but yet they still advertise a pool has breakfast but you have to pay for it the second room I got moved too I got a king sized it is very comfy but the AC unit is still a little loud but not as bad as the first room TV didn't work at first cause the coax cable on the back was pulled out of the conector had to gently force it back in ,one lampshade has stains all over it and a bunch of puncture marks , kinda weird and the shower curtain has 2 huge rips in it twards the top ,and sink leaks on to the floor when you wash your hands place does need improvement I'll give it a 2.5 over all and I will be switching hotels tomorrow I no longer have any patience tonight to do it and the bed isn't bad that's the only ok part I'm sorry but I had to be honest

Stay here while working in Chicago. It’s an average hotel. I’ve stayed in way worse. Clean rooms. Bar Louie was ok. Staff was very friendly. Food was ok. Nicole at the front desk had to help almost every night as my key card would not work every time I came back in the evening. She was very apologetic and helpful. Definitely the nicest person I’ve dealt with at a hotel desk.Rooms: Clean rooms. Comfortable beds out of the 3 rooms I’ve stayed in.

I spent a week here with family. The room we stayed in was clean and front desk staff were available to provide us with towels, shower caps and new card keys when the old ones weren't working. However, if you're not familiar with the area, you'll have to drive to other communities, like Tinley Park, IL, Orland Park, IL or Merrillville, IN for the amenities. Unfortunately, there's no complimentary breakfast. If you have children, please bring extra snacks to munch on until breakfast, lunch or dinner, especially if they're used to sticking to a routine. You also have to flip through the channels on the TV to try to find a program of interest, because there's no guide on the screen. Overall, this hotel is ideal for just an overnight stay before getting back on the road. It's reasonably priced for bare minimum accommodations.

Miserable place. Lobby is badly designed, and has loud music. Reception has perspex guard, as if they have troublesome clients - not like Holiday Inn. I had booked a room for business travel, but they wouldn't let me stay without a company ID card which I didn't have on me (so company lost money) though this isn't a requirement at any other Holuday Inn. Reception staff were rude also and told me to pay full fair, then laughed at me. AVOID

Poor quality rooms....key card on doors do not work well. On check in bed side table lamp was unplugged ( thought it was not working) maintenance said it was plugged into the wrong outlet. Shower graphic for hot and cold water required some tinkering to get it right just like the door key fob. Outlets on lamp do. not workRooms: I do know holiday day inn brand are due for an overhaul

Nice easy access to the highway. Room was clean but outdated. Pillows were nice. Service was unexciting.
