Once again ❤️!! They took care of me with a brake service this time with short notice and had the best price(coupon)plus got me out in under 1 hour in a half. Best place in the South suburbs.

Brandon and his team have been taking care of mefor at least the last year and half. Service is always very quick. Everyone is knowledgable. I never feel pressured to get services I don’t need. I appreciate all of their help and definitely would return!

I highly recommend this Pep Boys. My truck broke down on my way through, and these guys took care of me. Brandon especially made sure I knew what was up with my vehicle while it was there. Great communication and value.

I cannot say enough good things about PepBoys in Matteson. I brought my car there to check problems with battery terminals and have everything else checked out. I’m glad I had this done here, they found problems, explained things needed to be done. I had them fix it all. My car was ready to go that same afternoon. Thank you to the guys at PepBoys for great service.

I made an appointment for 1:00 p.m. on a Saturday. I showed up on time. I was told 2 or 3 hours and it will be done. When I came back two and a half hours later, my car was untouched! What is the point of the appointment? I wasted the drive time and two and a half hours of my day to get nothing done! Ridiculous! On top of that, the sale ended so I can't go to another location for the sale!

My name is Michael and I took my dodge caravan to get 4 new tires installed. This should have been a simple task and I spoke to the assistant manager Kris and he had some struggles getting the rims off to replace the tires. He initially changed two and I told him I'll bring the van back to install the other two. I was willing to work with him to get this done. Two weeks later, I returned and attempted to buy the other two tires. They had the van for approximately two weeks but all through this ordeal, Kris was very professional and I really felt he was doing everything he could to resolve the situation. In the attempt to remove the rims from the car, two of the studs on 2 of the rims were broken. Kris had told me that we may need to damage a rim to get it off. Again, I was still willing to work with them because of his professionalism and he was very contrite through the whole process. I had to rent a vehicle for a few days as I needed to get to a work assignment. I agreed to cover some of the repairs for the attempt that Kris made. I went to purchase a rim from a used part store and took it to the site. This is where everything went wrong.... Kris wanted to do something to compensate me for my patience, understanding and my willingness to continue to work with them through this process. I then met Brandon the manager..... he was rude and obnoxious. Kris offered me 4 tires for the price of two but I had already bought 2 tires so that would have me with 6 tires all together where I only needed 4. I asked Kris if he could give me 2 free ones and I pay for the repairs. Brandon immediately accused me of trying to just get free tires and suggested he should have charged me full price for everything and I needed to be happy that they had even done what they had at this point. I instantly got insulted and explained to him that I brought my van in with 4 working tires and just needed new ones. The studs were broken by Pep Boys and the working rim was damaged also by Pep Boys needing the replacement to a new one. This whole situation took a total of about a month and I paid for a replacement rim, and repair work and not to mentioned the car rental fees and all the other inconvenience I experienced!! Then to top it off, he has the nerve to be rude!! Not once did he apologize for damaging the studs and rim and nor did he acknowledge the inconvenience and expense I incurred. I tried to explain to him that it wasn't just about the costs, it was his nasty attitude that escalated me to the point that I needed to write this letter. I'm sorry that Kris has to endure the sting of this letter. Only because of him, I tolerated this nasty experience but it wasn't a bad experience until Brandon got involved. I own my service company and have 6 vehicles that Pep Boys has serviced multiple times. It was because of Brandon's poor attitude and rudeness that this will be my last interaction with Pep Boys. I hope and wish great things for Kris but I highly suggest that Brandon gets retrained for the sake of Pep Boys. Thanks to him, I am now an ex customer. It was my first time for service at the Matteson shop, and everything was great. Brandon got me checked in quickly for my 8AM appointment. A few minutes later he reviewed the findings of the brake inspection in detail, and then the repair work was done exactly as we had discussed.

I made an appointment in advance. When I arrived at my appointment time, I had to wait while other customers, WITHOUT appointments, were served ahead of me. Why take appointments if you are not going to honor them?I have absolutely no complaints about the services provided, and am very pleased with the work. The ONLY negative about the entire experience was being told that my appointment did not ensure that I was served on time. I could absolutely understand if it was a doctor's office, people who come in because they are sick SHOULD have precedence ahead of appointments. But this is an auto repair shop, not a doctor's office.

I definitely reviewed 5 star service at Pepboys in Matteson. I needed a battery in my key fob and although they don’t sell them the store manager found one that he picked up to help customers just in case. It was the size I needed. He replaced the battery for me free of charge.Thank you so much
