Not surprised to see this location is closing. As convenient as it was for me to shop here it was NEVER a pleasant experience. From the people that try to sell you stuff you did not go in to shop for, to there always being only 1 register open, the girls @ concession area were never friendly & honestly irritated that they had to work. Last but not least the lazy OLD lady that SAT on her chair and would yell for you to come to her so she can do her job & check your receipt! Don't the ask if you're able to perform a job before being hired, such as standing & walking?! I'd cringe coming to this store it was so unpleasant, especially if I had my children. One of the crabby patties even told my son "NO NOT TODAY" when he asked her to draw a smiley face on the receipt! Horrible customer service, I hate to day things like this but I guarantee these "ladies" won't find another job who tolerates their work ethics & behavior. That's what they get!

MATTESON STORE CLOSING! I came here today 1/11 at 11am and saw security and signs on the door that the store was closed. I needed to pick up a prescription so they let me in. I had to be escorted to the pharmacy by an employee. I noticed a group of employees at the front...a couple of them visibly upset. Turns out the employees found out just an hour before that the store is closing. THE MATTESON STORE WILL CLOSE ON JAN 26, 2018. THE PHARMACY WILL CLOSE FEB 11, 2018. There is no pharmacy in Tinley location. Not sure I need this membership any longer.

It depends on what you are getting here. The store layout has too many chokepoints. It can be very difficult to move around the store due to narrow aisles and awkward placements of walls. The biggest problem is the tire and battery area. I purchased 4 tires. There were 3 cars in front of mine and it took 3.5 hours for them to even complete my car. I am very disappointed with the staff here.

We are new members and enjoyed our first visit. We received several gifts that new members receive and were able to compare prices to other stores. We look forward to returning soon. The staff was very courteous.

Ok I want to tell a story. So last month I purchased a big beautiful, plant from Sams club. It is about 4 feet tall and green with leaves...Very cute, and I only paid 12.99 for it. There were about 100 plants on the shelve and no one were buying them. The next day I decide to go back to Sams and purchase another one! But when I arrived the plants had been moved and I could not find one! I asked a young male worker where the plants were moved to. He told me a big, fat lie! He said that people purchased all of the plants and that they will not be restocking the shelf. Then I replied, but I was here last night and there was a floor full of them. He then said all of the plants died last night because they failed to water them... OMG!!! I walked away! About 10 minutes later, I discovered the plants were moved in the back of the store by the ice-cream! The worker told me all of those lies....It would have been easier for him to get on the walkie talkie and ask for help! Anywho, SAMS club in Matteson is a decent store to shop at. The shelves are normally stocked and the free samples are always great on the weekends. The customer services isn't very good though. The lines are always long on weekends and in the evening hours. The customer service counter consists of several social rejects with no manners! Parking is easy and it's in a big lot so no complaints with that. The baking department makes awesome cakes as well. My biggest problem is in the photo department. There's a blonde lady named Richeal that works there and she has a terrible attitude and personality. She is always hiding outside smoking cigarettes, but she gets mad when you page her to the photo counter. Everyone that experiences her says the same thing! Sams needs to hire workers that can provide great customer service! The workers are currently very rude!!

Ordered cupcakes from here for a bridal shower. They made them look simple yet elegant, they were delicious and ready on time when we picked them up. Perfect! No problems, no issues.

I've shopped here for as long as I can remember and have continued to be a loyal customer even after they stopped carrying their peanut butter cookies and switched to the lackluster coconut pecan cookies. One thing that has really began to bother me is the sample people asking me if I was over 14 years old. There's no possible way that they could think I was as young as 14, I'm 22 years old and am not having this anymore. Next thing I know they're going to start carding me.

This Sam's Club is old, the structure of the store shows it. The lines are always long, the parking lot is still crowded despite Walmart having left. They are in serious need of more cashiers, especially at this time of year. This club needs a serious face lift. I recall this club being open either in the late 80's or early 90's. The stop light out in front of the club is awful though traffic is slightly better now with Walmart gone. But with no other Sam's Club close, where else would you go? Next closest is Tinley Park on Harlem and 159th, traffic out there is awful and that club is old as well.
