The gal behind the register was very nice and helpful. The store didn't have a bunch of stuff on the floor. My husband was in a wheelchair so that is the reason I look for things like that. Overall clean ,nice and helpful!

It’s probably the best Dollar General in Mattoon, but I’d recommend driving to Sullivan or Neoga if you want a more positive experience with the cashiers.

This location has gotten better about the cleanliness and better on stocking of products. Great job to those few who work hard to keep this location going. I'm not giving this very many stars due to the fact of what is overheard as a customer and already having over a decade of retail under my belt. So I know everything that comes with the line of retail. With saying that, make sure employees are trained correctly by someone with knowledge and experience. Show up on time, do the work right, and do it correctly.

The cashier was so polite and patient he was absolutely amazing my visa card wouldn't allow full charge of you for my son so he paid the rest of the 47 cents I honestly would definitely recommend going here
