Went in there to buy a three-point hitch tiller first they overcharged me for it then they messed up. My tailgate on my truck had to wait for management to come by to take a look at it and fill out all those stupid accident report stuff then went and got two estimates for it Turn back in within the time a lot me to do that went for multiple weeks never heard anything back from them. They finally returned a phone call. I'm so privileged, and I have the chance to talk to them specially two days before a spinal fusion and they were wanting me to get back in contact with him and let them know what I wanted to do the day after my surgery, obviously I have more impressing things to worry about. I tailgate on a truck with spinal fusion being done. Also want me to have the privilege to pay for half of the damages you don't understand why I get to pay for half of them. I was not operating any of their equipment.

Terrible company inside and out. You think the shopping experience is awful, just imagine what it's like to work there. They don't care about the customers or the people that work there. I'm speaking specifically about corporate. Some individuals who work there are lovely people.... sadly, they work for a company that couldn't give a crap about them. They turned off reviews on Google for a reason people... stop shopping with them. Cheaper doesn't mean better. In fact, it means they are taking the money from somewhere else....their workers.

DONT buy from RURAL KINGS. They are liars . They sold my gun after I bought from them telling me they notified me . No emails ever sent to me. I called them for status of purchase. They informed me they were out of stock and that I had not provided an FFL . Academy verfied they sent FFL 3 days after purchase. Absolute crooks...buy somewhere else. Spoke to Tory , very rude and arrogant

This is for online order with rual king. I have a rental property in rual OR. whos well water pump went out mid June. I searched the web for companies that had my pump in stock and a short delivery time. ( web page quaranteed 2 days) Order product even though Rual King wasnt the lowest price and waited for delivery. 4 days go by and nothing. Rechecked order only to find web page now states 7-10 business days. 11 business days (15 days total) I get a email telling me my order has been canceled? I called customer service to inquire why and rep said he has no idea but best quess is its out of stock. Gee thanks RK 17 days now w/o water would have been nice to tell me up front your shipping and inventory system as well as your customer service is worthless. Sure hope this Covid thing doesnt shut down your company...NOT

My girlfriend placed an order and was a gift for me for my birthday 12/23! Was promised delivery by 12/6/19 Date order was placed Nov 26, 2019 Dates inquiries were made regarding this order, 2 on 12/3/19, 1 on 12/5/19, 12/9/19, 12/14/19, to customer service, Dates inquiries were made to CS Representative & their names- 12/13/19, 12/14/19, 12/20/19, 12/23/19, 1/1/20 to B.H. Where is my order that was placed, confirmed, tracking number from fed ex given? CS Rep on phone discovered package never left Fed Ex and couldn't be located, Beth sent email stating she had to create a return merchandise ticket so they can resend this to me. Next inquiry was asking for an update on order and Beth stated she was out for a few days due to weather & said " If you still have not heard from that department, I know they were 7-10 days behind, not sure if they have caught up yet or not, but if you haven't heard from them please let me know. That was on 12/19/19. I have been extremely patient but this hasn't been resolved YET!!! I want my merchandise IMMEDIATELY & I believe I deserve my order, plus compensation for your inability to resolve this issue!

I live close to the original store. Their shelves can sit empty for weeks even though the warehouse was behind it. I could go in every day for 2 weeks and the merchandise is still not filled and inventory in complete disorder. Just tried my first online, pickup at store purchase. What a joke. They charge you for everything first and then if the don't have it you must wait for your payment company to run it back to you. I am so sick of how this company is ran I basically go somewhere else. After there great work wear pants that I had worn for years all of a sudden wouldn't last the first week, they are now my last resort instead of first when I need something.

This new location is terrible. There is no parking available, spaces are too tight, aisles are impossible to navigate. Pick any other location if you need to actually shop.

Horrible customer service!!! This was my first experience as a new customer of Rural King and the treatment I received was horrible. I ordered a product online and the next day they canceled that order. I called their customer care department to find out why and they stated that even though they advertised this item for sale, displayed online that they had it in stock and I was able to fully complete my order online and take my payment, they no longer had the item in stock and therefore canceled my order. They admitted they were not able to count their inventory correctly and were mistaken. They admitted they couldn't count correctly. WOW! However, THEY LIED!!! I called their customer care back immediately when I found online that they had several locations that did in fact have this product in stock. The customer care rep tried to back peddle their words and cover for the fact that he had lied and stated that those locations are incapable of shipping my order to me. So the company DID have my item in stock but admit incompetence or refusal to fulfill a product order for a customer. I asked when they would be getting more in stock and they said they would call me the next morning to let me know. I received a voicemail the following morning from Justin, and in that voicemail he explained that the company no longer has the product I ordered in stock. MORE LIES!!! I called Justin back and inquired about the several locations that still have several of the product I had ordered to be in stock, basically calling out his lie. He also tried to cover for that lie and admit that those Rural King stores did have them in stock but they were under some policy of "in store purchase only". Like my product somehow knows how it's being sold and wouldn't work correctly if sold online. So, Justin admits that rather than fix their admitted errors, and ship the product and fulfill an online order to a brand new first time customer, that the company would rather stick to some misguided principle of "for in store sale only". Unbelievable. I admit, he did attempt to get me the product that was being displayed at their corporate location. Amazing that somehow they can grab a display model from a corporate location but lack the competence to send a brand new product from one of their store locations. I asked if the display model would be discounted, since everyone knows what display model means....USED. He said "no", due to the display model had never been opened. Sure it hasn't. With their multiple lies I've received so far, I'm not about to believe that a display model has never been used. Rural King basically didn't want me as a customer, so they got it. Do NOT do business with this company!!! Horrible customer service!!!

Ok, let's talk RURAL KING ONLINE...your new IT system is causing you some grief. I get it. You have no idea what's in stock, where it's located, and no one, including you, can get on most accounts to check order status. So when I chose to pay an extra $200 in freight to have an item shipped expeditiously, and then found it wasn't out of stock, but sitting sweetly...comfortably in my local store, I was pleasantly surprised, yes? All I had to do is call and cancel my 1.5k order, one would surmise. Oh, no. NO! NO! NO! Silly me, it's way more complicated than that. Apparently, in some legal font in the corner of your Rural King web craft there is a 30 MINUTE (yes, minute) online cancellation policy. Quite the industry standard.I was informed by your caustic-tongued phone rep that I would not be able to cancel my order, even though I was told your free "ship-to-store" wasn't working, your online inventory controls weren't working, and I couldn't get access to my account to cancel! So along with your current IT updates, I wish you well with customer service training, loyalty programs, and something called common sense. Virtually no way to cancel an order? Hmmm, sounds like a legit business model. Hello chargebacks.

I would definitely give them a "0" rating if possible. I ordered a Christmas gift a few days ago, received a confirmation and order #, only to get an e-mail a few days later telling me they are out of stock. Now I don't have time to get a different one by Christmas. If the order had been denied, I would have had plenty of time to have another one. Not at all happy with their lousy ordering system!

Received 1 of the 5 items I ordered from one of their stores. Waited a few days and called in. Waited 20 minutes i queue. Was told remaining items were coming from their shipping warehouse. Waited again and called back in. Waited 30 minutes in queue. Was told that items were coming from another store and told to disregard the fact that the order was showing as "completed" on their website. Waited and called back and again waited for 30 minutes in queue. Unfortunately for me, I had paid with my debit VISA card and they immediately withdrew payment of $100+ dollars. Demanded that the order be cancelled and a refund be issued. Had to argue with the rep who insisted nothing is charged until merchandise is shipped. False. Was told that order was cancelled and refund would be issued and a confirmation email would be sent. That never happened. During this entire process I contacted their customer service three times on their website customer contact form. No reply ever received. Waited again and called back to wait 40 minutes in queue. I immediately requested a supervisor and was immediately told I'd be put into her voicemail. NO! NO! NO! NO! exclaimed. YOU NEVER RETURN CONTACT. I went on to tell my entire tale (ignoring interruptions) and threatened to contact a television consumer advocate news program from Columbus, OH that broadcasts all over Ohio and eastern Pennsylvania, and threatened to contact the VISA fraud division. I was immediately asked to hold by a rep who's tone suddenly became very concerned and helpful. The next voice I heard was a supervisor who stated refund was being issued as I spoke and the order was being cancelled as we spoke and that confirmation emails were just sent. I have received the emails. However 5 hours later no refund has appeared electronically on my account. NEVER DO ONLINE BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE.

I went there today to purchase a battery so I pushed the button for assistance and waited. And waited. And waited some more. I heard the automated system paging for customer assistance in automotive at least five or 6 times. I saw three employees walking away from me with "ask me for help" ironically printed on the backs of their shirts. One employee came through pushing an empty cart to the back room and when he returned a few minutes later with a full load and still no one had come to assist me, I decided to leave and just order it online. I try to support local business but when they provide such poor customer service it's kind of hard to do that.

This review is for Rural King corporate; I actually live in Front Royal, Virginia but my gripe is not with my local store. I have tried on multiple occasions to reach out to customer service and haven't gotten any response, which is to me is absolutely ridiculous. Any response would be better than no response. We purchased bees through the Rural King website; upon purchase the emailed receipt promises tracking information when the bees have shipped. This did not happen. I called Rural King customer service several weeks before they shipped just to get a rough estimate of when they might be arriving so I could potentially alter my work schedule if needed. I was reassured again that tracking information would be sent in advance of the bees and told roughly what week they might be shipping. Instead, one rainy day, the bees were tossed on my front porch without warning by the postal carrier and left to soak in the rain. This is infraction number one for me. They're live insects, and anyone who has ever dealt with bees knows they do not particularly like stormy weather or being damp or cold. Secondly, they were shipped without syrup or a pollen patty, so they were likely starving. In addition, because I did not receive any information about when they shipped, I had no idea how long their queen had been with them, and again, beekeepers back me up here- releasing a queen into a new colony is a tricky time sensitive thing. So the following morning (after the rain), we install the bees into the hive, I see the queen has only a candy cork (cool), and put her in. A few days later we go to check and make sure the bees have eaten the candy and released her- only to discover that the cork was put in the queen box inside out- candy facing outside, actual cork facing in- which would couldn't seen because it was below the rim of the wood. Let me remind you that bees aren't cheap. We invested $200 in a bee package with you to receive a poorly assembled box with wet, starving, half dead bees, and to be completely ignored in any of this frustration by your customer service team. Lesson learned- Rural King takes your money and runs. Suffice to say we will never be ordering bees with you again, and I hope this review can save others the frustration we experienced. Get your bees elsewhere.
