βYou know those blue shark gummies? Every time I found them everywhere else they were always stale and the moment I bought the blue shark gummies from here and they were soft and fresh? I knew my life was complete. Anyways the candies and service here was amazing and I look forward to coming back frequently!β
βNeeded chocolate coins for new years and no other place had any, been driving three hours and seen this place on Google Maps. Called the store and a very nice older gentleman picked up and said they had them. Not only that but the chocolates they made and had in store were amazing. If you want good candy and good customer service come here theyβll get you right?β

βLove this place! I really appreciate a business that is low waste and straight to the point. They also have a wide variety of grains, teas, herbs, and spices. I tend to use large amounts of certain spices so having the flexibility in container size is very helpful.β
βThey're is si much to select! You name it they make it there Chocolate, cookies, ice cream, popcorn, all dipped in chocolate!😍. We arrived just before closing but the staff was so friendly and we didn't feel rushed. They're very sweet!β

βOn 11/22/2024 @ 17:21 pm, Lili served us. My husband wanted 4, dark chocolate, vanilla filled buttercreams, I wanted 2 petite walnut, truffles. We got six, milk chocolate, chelated filled butter creams. The server did not bother to listen to our order, git it wrong, and did not want to be there. We want a full refund or gift card. The customer service was atrocious and the order all wrong!! I am increasing the stars, manager, gave 2 boxes of buttercreams, vanilla for the wrong order so ? happy.!β

βBy far my favorite candy shop in the areaβ anywhere really!. Always so nice & helpful. The chocolate is so delicious! Their choc covered strawberries & bananas (usually special order at the Indian Head Park store) are amazing! Canβt say enough nice things about Old Fashioned candies! Their Berwyn store has more offerings but if you want something theyβll bring it over, if you ask.β

We got 2 for my daughters' birthday party and they took the kids a while to break them, the adults even tried and were impressed with how strong they held up. Definitely will come back when I need more piΓ±atas. The lady here was super nice and even mentioned they can make custom piΓ±atas with a week or more notice, so that's cool to knowβ

I'm not a huge candy person, but I thought everything I tried was really good - not too sugary, and great flavors.
This spot feels like a hidden gem. A must find for candy lovers! Would 10/10 recommend this spot for gifts, nuts, candies and more!β

βLove the shop and extensive selection of bourbon. They always have buffalo trace for a decent price. Theyβre dog friendly and have the most adorable shop dog named Nala:-)β

βBig daddyβs is by far the best fudge Iβve ever tasted. My favorite is the chocolate jack. Melt in your mouth creaminess, with the warmth of the whiskey. I give it as gifts and thatβs the one everyone wants. Delivers every time!!!β

βWe LOVE Candy Squared. We went there to purchase salt water taffy, and ended up purchasing more. It was the end of the day and the owner took the time to engage in a delightful conversation.
When we arrived at home and tried the candy, we were surprised by how different it was from other things we've eaten. I believe the candy was made without animal gelatin, and that seems to have made a HUGE difference in improving the taste.
We don't buy much candy, but will certainly start here. If you are reluctant, try looking them up on Too Good To Go. Once you visit, we bet you will find it too good not to go back!β
βEverything you need for Mexican parties! Irons, plates, glasses, spices, candies, piΓ±atas , etc. If you love to entertain and cook, they have your pots for tamales, discs for tripes, and plates for tacos.β

βThis store takes me back to my childhood, the cups and bowls made from barro (clay) like my mom used in her kitchen long ago. A variety of piΓ±atas and "Mexican" candy to fill them. Wooden utensils and large ollas (pots). I will mostlikely return again and again, the owner is helpful & friendly too.β

I recommend the coconut bars and anything with the spicy powder on top. overall this place was very authentic and if you are in the Chicago area I recommend giving thier Mexican candies a try it a try.β
