I went for long layers with face framing front layers. My hair was down to my lower back. I asked for 4 inches off. The lady who first cut my hair (older lady who was slurring her words) grabbed the back of my hair and hacked it. Like it was a blunt cut layer that was neck length with the rest of the hair down to my lower back. One guy that was waiting for a cut got up and walked out! I asked her if she was gonna blend that in and she said, "I can't, your hair is too thin." MY hair isn't thin at all!! So she basically chopped off the back of my hair and then said she couldn't fix it! The other stylist tried so hard to blend but couldn't do it. After speaking to the manager, I HAD TO DRIVE TO ANOTHER LOCATION TO GET MY HAIR CUT BY THE MANAGER. They made me pay full price for a shaggy mullet cut that is up to my chest. MY HAIR WAS ORIGINALLY DOWN TO MY LOWER BACK. Not a single apology from the POS stylist that hacked up my hair. The girl who tried to fix it named Dakota and the manager Janelle were VERY nice!! But it is ridiculous that I paid to get my hair chopped up and then had to drive to another location to get it fixed. Waste of 2 hours and waste of gas. Unbelievable. Will never go to Great Clips ever again.

Lisa is the best! She knows what to do with the type if hair the customer has. But she also listens to the customer.
Requested style: Lisa knows what I want and she talks and suggest what's best for me. We are a team.
Stylist: Lisa is the best. Shes very professional and knows her craft yet she still listens to the customer

I recently lived in Kenosha and now in Waukegan but I always go to McHenry for my haircuts. Sue was my hairdresser first until she retired and now Lisa cuts my hair.

The "stylist" that was going to cut my hair didn't know what a high and tight haircut is. Pretty sad when it's the most basic haircut there is. I will never waste my time and money going to the mchenry great clips. Not so great clips. I'll go to sports clips from now on.

I went to this establishment yesterday February 1st 2024 to get hair cut.
The customer service was ok, but when it came down to getting my hair cut the Gal that did it
Mutilated my hair.
I asked for a 1 on the sides and back , a inch on top and everything faded together.
What I received was patches everywhere. My hair is screwed. The Gal looked and sounded like she was doing hair for a long time but looks can be deceiving.
So now it's will shave my head or just wear a hat till it grows back..
I will never be going back to that establishment for a hair cut.. and will not be recommending it to anyone I know...
