Such a great ‘hidden gem’ in McHenry. The owner was very friendly and able to help us out immediately. I had the best time painting a plate, I definitely recommend and will be returning.

Our daughter loves the classes here! They offer fun classes for her at a great value. The Crystal Lake Montessori school, which she attends, offers an after school art class as well, but the art class at The Studio Art School is a MUCH better value. The teachers are also so kind, patient, and caring with our daughter.
Highly recommend them for art classes.

Should have done this review a long time ago! My daughter has been going to the children's classes for several years now and she LOVES every minute of it. Miss Lucy is an amazing instructor and creates a calm and inclusive environment for everyone to express their inner artist.

An absolutely wonderful experience. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We hosted our daughter's 10th birthday here with her friends and they had a perfect setup to keep a group of 10 girls entertained. They were so involved in the painting that the entire group was well behaved for the full 90 minutes of the session. As a parent that alone is worth every penny.We will definitely be returning for additional events and classes.

My friends and I spent a Sunday with Lucy in her beautiful studio. She is such a wonderful and patient teacher...so encouraging...can't WAIT to go back!!

I went there to purchase Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. The ladies were wonderful on giving painting advice and techniques and by the time you left you wanted to Chalk Paint the world. With their knowledgeable, helpful and creative advice I successfully chalk painted my old best up piano with a can of chalk paint. :)

Incredible helpful in providing aid, chalk paint and one on one service during the Covid quarantine. I can't wait for classes to begin again. Lovely store, great location and all sorts of goodies!

I had bought my mother a paint session for Christmas, my sister's and friends signed up as well. They sent a refund the night prior with no phone call or note attached saying they cancelled the class. I had to call and ask, then the lady proceeds to tell me only 3 people signed up when we had 6 in our group alone already signed up and paid for it. Poor business and disappointing, will give our business to another studio. Pinot pallette in Barrington has always been wonderful.
