Updated review 10Jan2026 Dan was very professional and went above and beyond to assist with fuel discounts. He was extremely patient with refunding my Celsius after I realized the promotion for the fuel discount ended. The Most memorable and impressive moments I have of this location, are the accommodations of specific employee's going the extra mile to give cash refunds if the system has issues. Finally, the friendliness of returning employees farewelling and greeting children is extremely heartwarming & refreshing.
9Sep2025 Phil was very understanding over the phone with reward discount of $0.20 Per Gallon. We spoke about limitations and he offered to go over it together in-person to ensure I got the best deal.
This location consistently sets the bar for high standards. Thank you π
5MAR2025 Manager Katrina was fantastic. She was able to adjust the prices And offset the discounts that were utilized incorrectly at another location.
And she gave us the almighty 1$ /G\ Difference.

Never had an issue with any of the services other than if you pay at the pump it takes awhile to load and ask your pin. But easily avoided if your not lazy and running late :)!

Mchenry Location: There is an older female cashier who is about 5β2 with dirty blonde hair who should NEVER be in customer service. I am/was a regular at this location and this woman is one of the rudest and most unpleasant employees I have ever come across. Not only have I had the same experience on multiple occasions when having to interact with her, but I was just venting with a friend who coincidentally had the same experience with this same lady. I have to say that the staff here is fantastic except this particular employee. Please donβt allow a virus destroy a reputation of the whole.

Last night, my husband and nephew went to Thorntons in Lakemoor around 8:30 pm. My nephew, who is autistic and mixed, brought a candy bar. Without provocation, the cashier rolled her eyes at him and made the sign of the cross as he exited, suggesting he was a bad person. My husband, who witnessed the incident, addressed the cashier. I can assure you that my nephew, Jibril, is a well-mannered and kind individual. He did not deserve this treatment. I am left wondering what motivated the cashier to behave in this manner. Was it racism or a bias against autistic individuals? This incident is unacceptable and demands attention. I will contact management immediately to address this matter. It is crucial that we treat others with kindness and respect.

Their breakfast pizza was terrible. It was obviously left out way too long. That cheese tasted like it was plastic. I would definitely not recommend this location for food

Has 4 spaces for trucks, which is great but it's super tight. Definitely not a truck friendly layout. I crunched my headlight on the guardrail. Should remove it. Getting a tire over the curb would have saved a lot of trouble/money.

Not the first time walked in, did my shopping, checked out and the older lady was paying more attention to her phone then any of the guests checking out. At least act like you like your job!!

Today is the 3rd time that I have spent almost 10mins waiting on help....and the 3rd time I have walked out and took my business elsewhere. The employees expect you to use the self~checkout and literally get attitudes because I refuse to use a machine that they do NOT disinfect in-between customers. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this location again.
