I have been traveling between Northern Illinois and Northern Missouri every year, multiple times for probably 20 years. I have made it a point to stop at this station every time I drive between these states. The snacks are great, restrooms are always clean, gas is always cheap, fun toys and gadgets for the youngins and souvenirs for the family. Legit the best one stop shop you’ll ever go to. Stop in Mclean on your next roadtrip. You won’t regret it.

Made a quick pitstop at the Road Ranger in McLean, IL while traveling Route 66 and was really impressed! The restrooms were spotless, which is such a relief on a road trip, and the employees were super friendly. They had a huge selection of snacks and drinks, everything you could possibly want for the road, & a really cool collection of Route 66 souvenirs.
There’s even a buffet restaurant attached to the gas station, which we didn’t try this time, but it’s great to have the option for a hot meal. Overall, it’s a great place to stop, stretch your legs, & stock up before hitting the road again. Highly recommend this stop. Clean, convenient, and friendly!

Has s great experience here! Food was fresh and hot, service was fast and extremely friendly. Thank you Connie for making my day! She made me laugh after a long day of driving and was just wonderful. 10/10 will come back. Also the pie here is top notch!!!

Everything is more expensive. Kids juice wasn’t price marked, but it’s the same brand as the dollar store. Get it up to the counter and it’s $5. Stick to circle k or more reasonable stops.

Place is clean enough, and staff is friendly, coffee isn't bad. My one gripe tho....why are 6 chickens tenders (just the tenders mind you) over 18 dollars. Seriously...I can buy a bag of the same tenders at Walmart for 8 bucks. Might be time to re-evaluate your food prices.

Store and bathrooms were clean. The touch pay didn't work at the pumps so I had to put my card in.

Been stopping here for 4 years and never disappoints. Yes there’s pot holes but plenty of parking when you get very heavy trucks especially oversized ones they move soft dirt. Food is amazing cashiers are always nice and remember you by face! All the negative comments complaining about towels and other amenities. This is a truck stop. Not a 5 star Hilton hotel. Want a Pristine shower stay at a hotel.

The best food, worth me driving weekly for more than 5 hours to enjoy their buffet. Yes the owners & cooks know how to season food to the perfection. I've been allot of places in America and HANDS DOWN, THIS IS THE BEST SEASONED FOOD IN THE COUNTRY. Must try the soups!

Old truck stop. Clean. Tons of parking. At 3am only a third of lot is full. Pot holes be careful. Restaurant was disappointing. Food was warm not hot. Cashiers nice. Store has variety of candy, fudge, amish goods.
