I am elderly and the application needs e-mail for reference. I don't know anyone.

My daughter applied twice. She was a perfect candidate for an adoption but was denied. She emailed them and they didn't respond back! ?

Very nice facility! Our first visit was to meet our new rescue pup. What a pleasant experience. The meet and greet room was a very clean living room type setup. The kennel are was very nice and clean as well. 100% recommend!

If you're a renter, don't bother applying.I applied twice at Ruby's and was very rudely denied simply because I'm not a homeowner despite my other qualifications such as being a professional dog trainer, owning my current 5 year old dog, being able to bring my dog to work with me each day, and more (I even cook my dog's food!).On top of that, my apartment complex has a fenced-in dog park. It may not be a fenced-in backyard, but it's the same concept--I just have to walk down the sidewalk before I can get to it.Long story short, I don't feel as though this rescue truly places dogs in homes that would serve the dog best. They simply place dogs with people who don't rent. An individual who has very little experience owning a dog or may leave the dog at home alone for 12+ hours a day seem to be more qualified than a trainer who can take the dog to work with them.Truthfully, these sour experiences with Ruby's has turned me off completely with wanting to adopt at all, but I will gladly start looking at other rescues from here on out.On a side note: I even dropped off donations at the establishment when Jean (the owner) was there. It was over an hour drive just to get there, and I had brought A LOT of donations. Did I get a single thank you? Nope :) In fact, Jean hardly seemed like she wanted me there, even though I was just there to drop stuff off as we had scheduled.

We found our sweet Henry (aka Trigger) at Ruby's Rescue and Retreat - thank goodness! They take such good care of the animals until they find their forever homes. They share accurate information about the health of their animals and make sure that the families are off to a good start. Thank you, Ruby's Rescue!

Applied twice, had references sent and all I every received was an automated reply. I inquired various times and various ways using their Facebook page and their email, but no response as to whether or not we were being considered for a dog. I have noticed they favor adoptions towards families with children and former pet owners. I’m going to set my hopes on some other pet rescue organization.

The most loving place I have been for dogs. They do sooooo much that you have no idea. The love and care that goes into these dogs are unprecedented! You won't be let down by getting a dog from Ruby's I'm here to tell you firsthand. If you love dogs and have the patience and gentleness some of these pups need, consider contacting ruby's and volunteering. Im not sure what they need volunteer wise but we will be contacting them to go out and help love some dog babes! Such an amazing place you have there!

I got my dog stolen around three years ago and was promised I’d get her and her puppies returned. They kept switching up how I could get them back and then kept asking me specific details about my dog but ignored me just for the details to try to get rid of her. They lied about her age and breed on their site as well because I’ve stated she’s half pit and so whoever has my baby please take care of her these people lied to you about a dog that they knew wasn’t theirs to keep and it’s sick! She’s a collie pit mix with a nub for a tail and pretty brown eyes. The collar she was wearing was the collar I BOUGHT HER and the color was purple. This place caused so much emotional stress in my life cause I was working on getting her to be my emotional support animal and never got the chance to do so. I was only 19 at the time.

This rescue allows littermates to be adopted together. No good rescue would ever allow littermates to go together, this is disgusting and detrimental behavior.

They made sure to match our family with the most perfect puppy. We had to wait just a little while but I appreciate the wait. The wait was to make sure we had the perfect match. We could not have got more blessed with our sweet Ginger. They work so hard and the puppies and the people are always a priority.
