“Brought in coins from my dad’s collection. I tried to find out the cost of coins on my own and was overwhelmed. Then didn’t even know how to begin to sell them. Went to Oakton Coins and Collectables. They went through them and gave me a price. We sold to them and trusted they were being fair! I’ll probably never know but made that deco to sell to them. Hard to part with my dad’s collection but we lived in Oakton for my entire youth and young adult life. Maybe meant to be.”
“Elite Repeat is such an amazing store and absolutely worth the visit. From the rage of name brands and styles to an entire fur coat closet there is something for everyone. The shop is multi-generational woman owned and you can tell how much they care about what they do in the care they have for the store and the way it’s organized. Absolutely loved it and can’t wait to go back!”

“I got an AMAZING vintage modern granite table and Henry Miller chairs here that will be in my dining room forever. They were in perfect condition and so much better built and classier than all of the cheap new furniture out there. And the staff is incredibly helpful and worked with me for delivery!”
“Did an online auction with Ian. He was very responsive & patient with me. Especially since this was the first auction I did with him. I'm very happy as a bidder. It was also pretty cool to see an old MJ bball card go for 25k on the webcast!”
“Thank You so much for the excellent work you did on our 1920's Hall Clock. It's now working just as it did the day it was purchased at Marshall Fields back then. Thank You”

“Absolutely recommend 100%. I was tasked by my grandma to have a doll restrung. I was about to ship it to another company for much much more $$$. I didn’t know so I assumed that’s what it costs. I confirmed the address to ship it to and that company never responded. I reached out to GIGI’s. Emailed me back quickly. Very reasonable price. Told me how to ship it. Was returned fixed to me within about a week. Was very happy with it. The doll owner is very happy as well?.”
“Such a little gem! So reasonably priced, so many good finds in these three small buildings. Bobbie and her husband were so sweet, offered us cookies, coffee and great conversation. Will be back very soon ?”
“Fantastic vintage shop. Lots of great pieces. Filled with collectible glassware and decor. As a collector and reseller, it’s not priced in a way that works for me but it’s still got a great selection for those who aren’t looking for a crazy steal.”
“I went today to pick up some insect display cases that were posted on Facebook marketplace and ended up leaving with a bunch more treasures. The shop owner is super nice and everything is super reasonably priced. Can’t wait to go back!”
“Greg reupholstered my headboard, and it turned out phenomenal! He did quality work, was very accommodating, and was reasonably priced. I will be back for future upholstery jobs! I highly recommend If you are looking to replace or switch up your style on an older piece of furniture, you want to keep!”
“A very nice little antique jewelry shop tucked away in a back corner. They sell a variety of beautiful things and also work with a very good jeweler who can clean and repair old pieces you already own.”
“One of my favorite shops in all of Chicagoland. I always find something special and unique. The owner has special ordered items for me and staff has gone out of their way to help me find the perfect gift.”
“Attended midnight madness, it was getting pretty busy in the evening. I hope they did well. Seemed there were lots of happy shoppers. I found a few antique bells ? as gift toppers. Will circle through again.”
“A fantastic experience working with them. Brian is one of the most knowledgeable and honest person I know. Every time I talk with him, I know I'm getting a good deal.”

“This is the only place to purchase Lanzi Carnel nut chew candy. I called a bunch of different stores and nobody knew what I was talking about. I will definitely be back as the store has alot of random things wives live to buy. The person at this location (wish I asked for her name) extremely helpful and made my experience very nice. A gem to visit if your in Elmhurst!!!!”

“A hidden gem in Hinsdale! This unique store sells higher-end furniture and decor with 100% of the profits benefitting Wellness House, which provides support and services for those with, or affected by, cancer. Volunteers staff the store and there is new inventory weekly. Shopping here is a win-win!”
“To the 1 star review who wondered if they weren’t greeted because of their skin color, I can share I (a visibly brown person) spent hours here and no one was greeted no matter who they were or their skin color. That doesn’t bother me at all, I like being left alone to browse, but wanted to reassure people who may have been put off. Because if you ask any questions, you will get the warmest friendliest service ever. I’m so happy I discovered this place, the furniture is incredible and mostly from estate sales so very high quality stuff. I plan to visit at least a few times a month since they turn over so much stuff.”
“Brought our antique couch back to life! Impeccable stitching and attention to detail. Fair pricing and quick turnaround, definitely will call them again for any of my upholstery needs.”
“Really good and friendly service! I came in with 2 watch battery replacements and they did it within an hour. Highly recommend and will even teach you a little about your watch!”
“I am huge fan of books and Kurt Gippert Bookseller mostly has what I am looking for. They have an extensive collection of books and that just impress me. It is indeed a book lover paradise.”
“It seems there’s a new owner running the store. There was an amazing vinyl record collection which was priced really well. Also some retro turntables and receivers there that looked to be in great shape.”
“We went to Archie's to see if they were interested in a variety of items we wanted to sell. The entire experience was excellent and conducted with clarity, great communication, and professionalism. Their offers were fair, and they explained why certain things were not valued as we may have expected. We felt very comfortable there and recommend it others looking for their services.”
“The best vintage selection and prices in the Chicago area thanks to the year-round sourcing and expert curation of the independent dealers who work diligently to make the Emporium the success story it is.
The human side of the Emporium's story is equally impressive. The dealers clearly love what they do and bring an eclectic mix of specialties to the Emporium's incomparable selection of vintage treasures. This keeps the inventory fresh, interesting, and diverse.
Speaking of diversity, the Emporium's dealers come from different ethnicities, genders, and backgrounds. The Emporium reflects a modern, inclusive mindset grounded in the rich history of the USA. Customers are welcome regardless of their race, color, creed, or vintage shopping experience.
The dealers themselves staff the front checkout counter on a shared schedule. They want the best outcomes for customers and the Emporium, and treat customers accordingly. The atmosphere is friendly and helpful even at the busiest times.
Using reviews to put forth vague victim narratives reflects a chip on one person's shoulder, not the proven Emporium experience which is one of courtesy, civility, and joy for customers and dealers alike.”
“LOTS of stuff. You can find some decent antique furniture among other things. The place is really big and it has some older retail equipment etc. Worth a look. Parking was fine too.”
