GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! This pharmacy’s bedside manners are incredibly terrible. I will not name drop simply because that will be left for the board and the cdc to notify. The younger girl pharmacist is either very racist or she has no idea how to treat people. I will be reporting her properly. I’m extremely insulted by her and I can only imagine how many other people she has treated this way and haven’t said anything….well just look at the previous comments. Clearly I am not the only person having a bad experience here.

Reporting them to the state pharmay board and the cdc for their inability to treat accordingly and substitute medications for generic in infectious diseases. possible retaliation after I complained, charging me for something that was covered.

I have shopped Jewel Osco in Melrose Park for over 13 yrs. It is now in complete and utter chaos. I shopped there on Tuesday, 9/27. Entire store was in disarray. Out of stock on so many items, some areas of freezer were empty, boxes everywhere, but little stocking going on. I could only get a few of the items I wanted. I returned today to specifically purchase the wing bucket on sale and a few other items. I was told no one was working the deli and could not find the other items I needed. I went home, called the customer service desk and asked what was going on with the store. She says no one wants to work and many no shows. Management needs to make some drastic changes. I have been a long time customer, but will no longer shop this location. Why are customers putting up with this?

The five stars go to the employee in the picture. The man who actually compared options on behalf of a customer to make sure the customer paid as little as possible. This employee was also seen multitasking with apparent ease. Giving shots, answering questions, filling prescriptions, and problem solving. Grace under pressure.

Just picked up two prescriptions from this location, and the two ladies working the pharmacy (one is a cashier, and the other is the actual pharmacist) acted like they were bothered to help. Never greeted me, never explained anything about my medication at all. They were both rude and clearly hate their jobs. I paid for the medication, and the girl said, “Here you go.” She then walked away without giving me my medication. The pharmacist walked over about a minute later, looked at me, SAID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, and gave me my medication. I told her that she needs to work on their attitudes, and she shook her head at me and rolled her eyes. We’ve been using this pharmacy for years, but will take our money elsewhere! This place sucks!!!!

Ordered a cake from their bakery over a week ago for my father in law's birthday today. Came to pick it up just for them to tell me I'd have to wait even more because they dropped the cake and now have to fix it. Fix it? God knows if they dropped it on the floor and they're trying to give me that same cake. Waited thirty minutes for them and still no cake. Just ended up getting a random cake from their freezer.

Between this and the Franklin Park store, I don't know which one is worse. I went to this location on Sunday, May 5th and for the third straight time, the system does not allow you to enter your My Mix info which is supposed to save you $$$. What a joke. When I told the cashier, Kortney, she became extremely rude and told me the ONLY way to get the savings was for her to have to ring up my entire order ($66.19) all over again. This store needs a complete over haul on training their employees what true customer service is all about.

SHORT-CHANGED Getting ripped off by a shockingly rude employee has cemented this Jewel's status on my #blacklist. We typically do our weekly shopping at Aldi, aside from the few weeks a year when this store has the Monopoly promotion going on. I could go to Trader Joe's, or Target, or anywhere else really......yet I chose to shop here in the hopes of acquiring the right game pieces and winning a jet ski. With a cart full of stuff on 2/18/19, the girl at checkstand 2 avoided eye contact as she rang up my items, even after I made brief small talk. She let out multiple deep sighs and at one point said out loud "I finna get outta here soon, too many damn customers". PROBABLY not the best thing to say directly to a customer. Towards the end of the interaction, she blurted out the total and upon asking for Monopoly pieces (I was rightly owed 25 of 'em) she acted like I was the world's biggest inconvenience and -- get this -- actually rolled her eyes. Lady, I got news for you: counting those pieces is part of your job. Quit sulking and just do it! Then came the bombshell. She tossed the receipt in the bag with 4 sad little paper game tokens. I began to protest, and the look I got from her was nothing short of a death glare. My choices were to 1) hold up the entire line like a j*** until the problem was corrected, or 2) ignore and walk away. I chose door number 2. The "I don't give a f*ck" attitude bothered me, though it was when she handed a random amount (a stack of easily 100 pieces) to the soccer mom in front of me, that's what really set me off. With a contest like this, you've got to follow the rules so everyone has a fair chance. On the drive home, the swirling hatred began to build. How pissed was I? I drove to another Jewel **immediately after this** just to wash out the taste of indolence and gross ineptitude. And also to get the other 20 pieces I should've been given in the first place. * TL;DR * As any addict (gambling, porn, crack cocaine) will tell you, withdrawal is a helluva thing. When you get your fix -- in this case, Monopoly pieces at Jewel Osco -- life is good. But when your dealer/grocery store decides to swindle you out of that little beacon of happiness, sh*t man, all bets are off. I can deal with slow moving lines. I can even tolerate abrasive or lazy employees. But cheating me out of those precious game pieces ON TOP OF the waiting and awful morale? "Yeah that's gonna be a no from me, dawg." This aggression will not stand, man! Enjoy your 1*.

Decent store to shop in. Definitely older than most, but I love that because the aisles are big. Staff has been friendly when I have been in there and asked questions. The other day a woman asked me how I was doing and if I needed any help before I could ask her. Agree with Michelle C's review about them walking with you to find what you are looking for. All I need are directions, but the two times I ask about something, I was walked over to the item. I have read some of the reviews about rude older workers. Not sure if it is related to poor hearing or what as they seem to be in a fog. One day I picked up a container of cherry tomatoes and the lid was not secure. Yep, free range cherry tomatoes all over the floor. I was going to try and pick them up, but a woman came up with a broom and dust pan and told me not to worry about it. She was even smiling. For me, trips there have been quick and painless. I do love that they have a large selection of the Jarritos sodas in flavors I didn't even know existed. I don't care for them, but do like the colors :-) For quick shopping to pick up items on the way home, this is not a bad store.
