“I used to go in as a girl and look around about 25 years ago. Place looks different. I’m an African American woman, 50 years old. I ask them if they appraised or took trades, the gentleman was friendly and I looked around. Some of the stuff looked tarnished, they had some 14 karat earrings and larger pendants that I liked. As I approached the place from outside, I noticed some the window pieces were askew and half off the mannequins and so I surmised from this that the quality of the place had declined with the times. I don’t regret visiting the old neighborhood and walking down memory lane. I give 4 stars for the old man’s friendly smile and the memories.”

He was fair and honest about what my items were worth. I went To another place a few days before today and I knew Deep down they were not honest about my items. They offered me a one price for all my things which the total was an insult. Michael offered me the same total for just one of my items!! “Brought in coins from my dad’s collection. I tried to find out the cost of coins on my own and was overwhelmed. Then didn’t even know how to begin to sell them. Went to Oakton Coins and Collectables. They went through them and gave me a price. We sold to them and trusted they were being fair! I’ll probably never know but made that deco to sell to them. Hard to part with my dad’s collection but we lived in Oakton for my entire youth and young adult life. Maybe meant to be.”
