I shop at Ace for many household needs. This last visit was for Christmas gifts. The staff were friendly and asked if I needed anything? I shop at Ace several times throughout the year.

Ace Hardware in Mendota, ILOn May 2, 2023I took an aluminum window frame to have the glass replaced. I was assured by the manager they would have it done in one day, or by at the latest, by the end of the week.I left the window frame and went home.About 30 minutes later I received a call that they would not be able to repair the window and to come pickit up.When I returned, I was told to go to the back and pick it up.When I picked the frame up, the frame came apart. It seems they broke the clips that hold the frame together. No explanation, no manager visible. I decided it was futile to ask and possibly get upset, so I just to took my business to Dixon Glass. Dixon Glass had to replace the broken clips in the aluminum frame snd replace the glass. Dixon glass was done in 1 hour!
