The Dollar General store has experienced significant decline, with crowded aisles filled with boxes and carts, making shopping difficult. The store is often understaffed, leading to long lines, sometimes with 10 to 15 people waiting to check out. Customers have noted that shopping carts are stored outside and frequently stuck together, which can be problematic, especially for older shoppers. The store's lighting is poor, and it often appears dirty, with random carts and boxes cluttering the aisles, making it hard to browse without knocking things over. Staff members seem to be less active, and the overall atmosphere feels less welcoming. In contrast, other locations, such as a nearby store in Germantown Hills, provide better customer service, smiling employees, and carts stored inside. Despite these issues, some customers appreciate the store's selection, fair prices, and friendly, employee-owned business model when the store is well-maintained and stocked. Overall, the store's condition and service have noticeably worsened, affecting the shopping experience.
Always nice to support an Employee Owned business. They have everything you'd want and the prices are fair. I purchased a sandwich , chips and a drink which was good and fresh. The store was clean and well stocked and the employees were friendly too.

This store has really gone downhill. It’s cluttered, isles are blocked with boxes of merchandise. Can’t get shopping carts through.
