Had a great experience at the USPS in Metropolis! I needed to get a passport and was pleasantly surprised to find out no appointment was needed. The service was fast, smooth, and the staff was super friendly and helpful throughout the process.
Highly recommend this location if you’re looking to get your passport done without the hassle! 👏📬💼

My husband, Raj and I had a package that was delayed and Adam went above and beyond making sure we knew as soon as it came to Metropolis and when it was delivered. Sometimes you can’t do anything about the delay, but I have to say the customer service at Metropolis was superb!

“Incompetence knows no bounds” This was a quote from another local postmaster about the metropolis post office. These guys will straight up steal your mail, if for any reason they think it’s of value, good luck. Expect it to disappear, they’ll put a false forward on it and it vanishes without being scanned again. They’ll also reroute your mail states away instead of sending it to the nearest local post office. I used to think usps was a vital government agency. Since COVID, I’ve just been excited about their inevitable downfall and replacement by a private entity

Main mail carrier for Jonesboro Rd needs to be FIRED!!! Our mail is always messed up, he continues to be lazy and take packages back,then leaves them on his truck. I was supposed to get my babies formula on Friday,now is sunday and shes out. He says he couldn't get to the driveway or porch at 6:08 but in reality he's not smart enough to figure out his mail truck! This is absolutely ridiculous!

Horrible mail carrier for the Mann Lake area, mail boxes are left open, can't get packages delivered to our home, we have complained about this to the post office and nothing has changed yet.

The staff is always kind, helpful and go out of their way to make sure customers are well taken care of. It is a busy post office, but they really do work to get people in and out as quickly as possible. I have had someone come around to the side door to help me when both windows were working and the place was full. That is extra special service! The mail carrier and subs that work our Rual route are the BEST! They also go out of their way to give good service!

Doors locked, you cannot even get mail from the PO box. Pretty much useless
