Super nice people, really clean considering the hard job everybody has. The animals seem well cared for and their pet pens were clean. Nice place.

This was a few years ago but it still bothers me.Basically I go in with my mom to adopt a (female) dog. Everything is going good but they turned down my application. Why? Well at QCAWC they believe in the ideals of spaying and neutering (as a no kill shelter they want to ensure the animals they adopt out don’t become part of the problem they are trying to fix). I support that. What I don’t support is the fact that they denied my application on the spot once it was revealed that my stepdads dog (female) wasn’t fixed. They can’t breed, staying “in tact” so to say doesn’t cause aggression as it can with male dogs. The reason they denied my application is because that dog would be in the same house where there was a female dog that wasn’t fixed. They told me they would not adopt out to a family who doesn’t follow their message and ideals about spaying/neutering.My application was shot down because they drew judgments on my own ideals represented by my step dad and how he chose to handle his dog.I support no kill shelters but I will NEVER support this specific shelter.

Lots of animals looking for a loving home. Unfortunately we were there donating leftover items after we lost our Clarabelle (cat). Thought since she came from here, we'd give back.

Hard to rate. I adopted a cat here who turned out to have serious behavioral issues which they should have noticed, so I was forced to return him. I had to fill out extensive paperwork for them to accept him back, as if it was MY fault. I recommend going elsewhere.

I saw a very beautiful dog on Google. He is a 4year old male pitbull named Avie. Been there for 2 years. I emailed them to inquire about him. I asked a couple questions. Got the same response which was " if you have any further questions please feel free to ask ". Now whoever was answering me back stayed professional, but was very short with me and gave me a very short answer of no, because avie would be better of being the only animal in the . No explanation why or anything. Sounds like they don't want Avie to leave. I would provide a very good home for Avie unless there was something special wrong with her. Quest I will never know tho.

This shit ass place gets 0 stars the one is petty because you have to put something, but let my tell you why. First off it took multiple phone calls and a crap ton of voicemails for them to still never respond. On top of that the cat I wanted to bring it died due to their lack of effort and response. This is their job to keep animals safe and make sure they get the help they need. Well Quad City Animal Welfare did NOT do that. Shame on you

Wonderful shelter. We have had two cats neutered here, and recently adopted a dog. They have spay/neuter services, basic health services and vaccines, plus animals for foster or adoption. They are always very kind, and seem to really care for the animals. We have been to other places in the Quad City area, and this is by far the cleanest and the animals look happy and well taken care of.

I had to take my two cats in thinking I'd have to surrender them but the shelter director lady said they'd keep them for me for a month so I can get moved into an apartment and get them back. I love my boys so much. I can't wait until we are reunited again.

We adopted a pair of bonded cats from here and the facility was wonderful. The cats in the room we went to did not seem stressed at all and the staff was informative and patient. The cats we adopted are pictures here. They were Jack and Enchie before and now are Echo and Kaya
