Walgreens pharmacy is one of the worst pharmacies in the quad cities. The pharmacy employees are rude and inconsiderate. They do not care about their customers, and treat their customers as if they are a nuisance to them. If you dont like your job, then quit!! Not only are they VERY RUDE, but they move slower than crap, and dont care if they make people wait in a long line forever to be waited on. Because of our experiences with the milan pharmacy, we transferred our prescriptions across the street to CVS pharmacy. At CVS they actually treat you like a human being and take care of you in a timely fashion. Moving to CVS was the best choice we have made. WALGREENS MILAN PHARMACY IS THE WORST PHARMACY EVER!!

Went to the Pharmacy in Milan, Illinois.
I am a Type 1 Diabetic, ran out of syringes for my long acting insulin. I am sick, so only needed a 10 pack for now until I am well enough to go get a box from my normal pharmacy.
This pharmacy does allow this and I have done it multiple times.
As the tech was bringing it over the Pharmacist on duty stopped her and said no. His back was to me, did not even acknowledge or look at me.
Just gave off an arrogant vibe and did not even come over to confirm or even look at my account to see that I am a diabetic.
The tech came back and said sorry, the pharmacist on Duty will not sell you these insulin syringes. This pharmacists name is Dan D. Shame on you and your assumptions and denying a Diabetic the tools needed to deliver insulin!

Was told I needed to wait because prescriptions weren’t showing a price in their system, then called about an hour and a half later and it said the prescription was ready and the price was 1.11$…. While I was in the drive-thru pharmacy I got a text saying the prescription was ready… they said it still wasn’t in their system. Went back an hour later and tried to have them hear their own automated message stating the prescription was ready + the price but still said there was nothing they could do. This was for antibiotics that were very needed. Absolutely unacceptable for a pharmacy

EDIT!! 8/11/2022 Walgreens in Milan, Illinois In my original post, I said the store staff is wonderful. That is absolutely incorrect. I returned an item from a $75 dollar purchase (debit) that was $29.99 with a receipt and with in 5 days of purchase. They (Consuela) refused to give me my money back in the form of which I paid. BECAUSE of the Walgreens rewards dollars. I used the $5 rewards cash on my original $75 dollar purchase because of this they refused to give me my money back and gave me a in store credit. Consuela was rude, giving attitude and extremely unhelpful during this whole transaction. I told them keep their $5 and just give me the balance back. They still flat out refused. No where on the receipt does it say this. Walgreens is a thief and the employees there are rude and condescending, especially Consuela. So all in all, Walgreens still stole my money because I have to spend the in store credit in their store. Plus you gotta love it when all the employees run to the back to call the main manager but still looking at you as they talk about you. Beware of the ‘cash rewards’ program… it does not benefit you and they steal from you! The store staff is always wonderful. The reason for the 1 star is the pharmacy staff. I am a Type 1 diabetic, when I run out of my insulin pen needles and I can’t get to Walmart to buy them I stop at Walgreens to get insulin syringes, I just buy 1 or two packs of 10 to get me by until I can go get my usual pen needles. This particular lady makes you feel like a drug user, like you are doing something wrong for buying insulin syringes… a lifesaving instrument for me. You can tell she is judging you, looks at you like you are beneath her and not friendly in the slightest. She asked for my ID which has never happened before and once again just looked at me when I told her again I needed two packs when she brought only 1. I explained, I ran out of my pen needles and could not get to Walmart… once again she just looked at me like I was beneath her. One other pharmacy (about a month ago) staff member there said to me “you don’t look like a drug user, so I will sell it to you”.

I live in Iowa, But Used this Pharmacy for a while to refill my prescriptions since I work a block away from this location. Now, I'm not a "Karen" by any means, I actually don't get mad easily, but this store was the first and only place I have ever been upset with in my life, and I still kept my composure, until now of course . I have been using this Walgreens for maybe a few months to refill my prescriptions , until I tried refilling just a couple days ago, and it said I needed to bring my IA insurance card to refill. I always get there about 6pm-ish (after work), i went to the window, Said I need to give you guys my card again to refill, the lady was like "we DONT take IA insurance", very very rudely, i said "well I have been going here the last few times so im not sure how that's possible ", she ROLLED her eyes at me, and looked some stuff up, gave me a explanation rudely (if she didn't have an attitude I would be completely okay with the explanation) , i just said "thank you" and left. Not to mention every time I go there , they are rude and have attitude. Look, I clean warehouse bathrooms all day and have people step on my nicely mopped floors, but do I roll my eyes at them , and tell them they are wrong? No, I smile and say its okay. Customer service at this place really needs attention. Just because you're tired or having a bad day doesn't mean you should be a d*ck about it.

The pharmacy tech that has given me my prescriptions the past few months has not been helpful, nor nice at all. All I want to do is get my medicine to aide my mental health but when she gives attitude or very short responses to my questions, it makes my trip to Walgreens a strain on my brain. I'm switching to a pharmacy on the Avenue because of my encounters with her. I do not recommend this pharmacy because of her, but the actual Walgreens staff is cool.

Two stars for medicine availability, one star for the rude women that work there. They're impatient, short with each other and customers, and completely unable to shake the attitude and body language of having a busy or bad day. I am surprised at the lack of professionalism at this location. Been using Walgreen's Pharmacy for my meds for a long long time, but recently moved to Milan and am now experiencing something that has made me reach the decision to take my business across the street to Hy-Vee.
