Reserved vehicle several weeks ago. Went to pick up today and this is the condition of the tire. They told us it’s fine to drive on it as low tire pressure guage was not lighting up so not true- tire damage like this causes a blowout! They then offered a voucher that we could take their vehicle to Firestone to get tire replaced. How is that the customer’s responsibility?? They had no other vehicles in the group we reserved so we were offered a much smaller vehicle.
Very poor service. Very unsafe business practice.

If I can give them zero stars I would. Woman that was working there on Saturday morning 9/20/25 is by far one of the most unprofessional, lazy individuals I have ever dealt with in the rental industry…. She called me a liar due to their own incompetence. Enterprise to the rescue. This was the first and very last time I will deal with Hertz car rentals, especially the one on 191 st street in Mokena…..

The worst experience I ever had..no friendly people given keys without any kind of knowledge..the return of ve0chile turned into a big headache and trying calling them is a task.poor all the way around better customer service ne3eded and more help to help people.

Worst horrible location, very bad service, only one employee inside the facility.
Dirty cars, tolls box not working.
More than two hours waiting to pick up my dirty cars.
They gave me different car.

When the car you reserve is available, things run smoothly. The problem I encountered, however, is that the corporate website allows anyone to make reservations, regardless of whether the requested vehicle is available or not. I made a reservation a few hours before, got my reservation number, and took an uber to the Mokena location only to be told that they don’t have a vehicle for me. Lesson learned: either don’t use this company or call and confirm before wasting a trip.

I had a noon rental and when I showed up and found parking, it was 12:02. The door was locked and the woman refused to give me the car that was prepaid for. They should NOT take rental appointments at closing time. TERRIBLE customer service.

The branch manager, Mary Ella, was very friendly and helpful. She went above and beyond to help! Highly recommend this Hertz location... they are not all the same, but the experience with this location was phenomenal. Thank you!

Terrible service, I returned the car in eleven hours and was fined $400, as if I had smoked inside, and it smelled like I hadn't smoked in four years.

My experience was great here. Car was clean inside and out. The manager had everything ready when I reached. There was an extra thing the manager did like taking my picture and my license and pictures of the car and then I had to sign documents on his tablet. I have not had that happen at other hertz locations. So, just be prepared for these extra steps before you can drive off with the rental. Having said that, I would recommend renting here if the location is convenient.

My experience was actually amazing. I went in. They gave me an awesome car. They took care of me drop me off where I needed to be. Took care of the issue with the tire without any problems very professional highly recommended.

If you’re going to do anything in this world make sure you don’t rent a car here. “Manager” is terrible and lacks so much to be even be respected as such. The lack of professionalism is out of the roof here! 0 stars. I’m currently waiting on hertz corporate relations to refund me due to the inaccurate charges this location has charged me. Thank god for them for fixing this problem.

I had a very easy time renting from this location. Kelly was nice and service was fast. In/Out speedy. Only complaint was car smelled bad inside and car was not washed on outside. Would use this location again
