This hotel is amazing for the price. Great location for shows at the Hollywood Amphitheater. The rooms are clean and spacious. The pool area was heated which made swimming enjoyable. The included breakfast was fresh and hot and had a great variety. Jessica who worked the front desk at night was so sweet and I can imagine the overnights are hard shifts. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area!

Pool was closed due to maintenance and while we understand that is not the fault of the hotel staff and I appreciate them cancelling for me without charge the lack of communication and this being the second time our family has had an issue with a reservation here we will likely not stay again. The first time they overbooked and didn't have a room for my sister and then still charged her card for the night. This time we showed up to swim for my daughters birthday. The manager said the pool being closed was listed on their website but it was not, however I know it could have been and the notice could have expired. Our only motive for staying as we live 5 minutes away was to use the pool for the birthday. The only reason I am even giving the 2 stars is for the front desk attendants being accommodating calm and patient with me while we got the reservation cancelled. Word of advice - call the hotel multiple times or check their website every few days leading up to your reservation if certain amenities are a top priority for your stay. Now I'm just waiting to make sure my card doesn't actually get charged.

Traveling through for work & decided it was time to find a place. Made reservations on line (easy). Check-in was easy and staff was friendly. This hotel is similar to their newer hotels in its design and layout which is what I really like. Beds very comfortable & soft... slept very well! Spacious clean room, large bathroom, nice work station for my laptop for work & great lighting in the room. Overall hotel is well kept with an outside patio area with a view of a small lake. I would definitely stay here again if traveling through next time.

This hotel was poor on all fronts. First, when booking online versus calling to reserve a room, there was a $60 upcharge. Second, upon arriving, none of the staff was wearing any discernable logo wear, so you didn't know who worked there and who didn't. Third, check in time was 3:00, but we had to wait until 4:00 because they had no clean rooms. Finally, our bedding had someone else's lipstick on it. I always thought H.I.E. hotels had a good reputation... This one does not. It's less than 3 years old, and looks 10 years old, and the staff is very subpar. I hope IHG eventually catches on to this.

We usually stay at Holiday Inn Express because they are usually clean and consistent. This location is not! The room was not clean. The dispenser in the shower for soap, shampoo and conditioner were all empty! All three! There was hair in the sink and the TV looks like it had not been wiped down forever. There are usually 2 coffee pods we only received 1. The coffee from the free breakfast was watered down. Looked like tea. I would not recommend this hotel.

Three words: Dirtiest Hotel Ever. Not following COVID precautions. This is a relatively new hotel which makes this even harder to believe. Floors everywhere were sticky and stained; debris everywhere. Garbages over flowing inside and out. And, I haven't even gotten to the room yet. Once inside my room, I was out of hair conditioner, facial tissue, and only a small partial roll of toilet paper. I had to go the front desk to ask for these items. The coffee supplies were left overs from previous guests. We never heard a vacuum running or saw the cleaning cart over the 3 day stay. On the last day, we where at the dining area when they first opened. I had to ask someone to clean the table so we could sit down. The tables, seats, and floors were crusty with smeared old food.Obviously, this location lacks management and pride. Staff was literally sleeping on the front desk; I had to wake him. Unfriendly and borderline rude from check in to check out. This hotel needs a serious cleaning including the totally incompetent staff.

We live in Mokena and decided a few weeks ago to have a staycation at this hotel for a night and let our two children, 6 and 8, swim to their hearts' content. To make sure the pool was open, we called two weeks ago, at which time they told us that they couldn't know for sure that the pool would be open, but that it was open currently so we should call back closer to the date. Midweek last week, we called again and actually made the reservation at which time we were told the pool was indeed open. Finally, we called THE MORNING we were checking in (around 10:00) to make sure the pool was open and told the desk person that our SOLE reason for coming to the hotel was for the pool. We were told the pool was open and, in fact, we could check in early (1:00). How nice!So you can understand our immense frustration upon checking in at around 1:30 when we were told that the pool was closed. Several times over the next 90 minutes we called the front desk to ask about when the pool would open, why was it closed and why were we told it was open when it wasn't? We were also told that the front desk had to wait for the General Manager to call and tell them it was okay to open the pool and that the GM was offsite currently and they couldn't reach them. This means if there was a robbery or the hotel was on fire, nobody on site could reach the GM? That hardly seems likely and if it is, then it's almost worse than lying to us. What an absolutely ridiculous chain of command if that's true. "Here's the only person who can make decisions, but they are unreachable." That should never be the answer. Finally, I went down to look at the pool myself and there was a genuinely pleasant, bearded man there skimming the pool. He told me the pool was completely fine and we could come down and swim whenever. I went over the front desk to both inform them and verify that this man had the authority to open the pool (though he was obviously an HIE employee). There were two women working the front desk and one, who checked us in, was at least pleasant while being unhelpful. The other, with red hair, was an embarrassment to customer service employees everywhere. When approached with the information about the pool, she reiterated that she had to wait until the GM gave approval. To which I replied, "Then who is working on the pool and telling me it's ok?""I don't know." She replied."What do you mean you don't know? It's a bearded guy.""I don't know who it is. I can't see through walls!" She obviously wasn't planning on moving from behind the front desk and traverse the 25 yards to the pool and see who it was."So there's a guy working on your pool and you don't know who it is? This isn't Disney! It's not like you have thousands of employees. You probably have, what, 5 people working here today?""No sir, we have more than 5.""Well one of them is working on the pool and he said it's okay to swim."She continued to insist on waiting to hear from her unreachable GM. She also declined to go investigate who was working on the pool and what they had to say, so I had to go over and ask him to talk to the women at the front desk because they weren't listening to me. Again, he was super pleasant and said that he would. We grabbed the kids and headed to the pool, not even bothering with going by the front desk. It's seems to me that pretty high on the list of duties of a front desk person at a hotel, right behind checking people in and out and being pleasant, is knowing who is in the building and especially who is working. (I sent this information, verbatim, to what appeared to be a manager on their website over a week ago and heard nothing back.)
