Here's the saga....I live out of state but grew up in the QCs and our family has purchased several cars from McLaughlin Motors. So while in town the first week in March, I purchased a 2023 Subaru Outback. Along with the car I purchased several (11) add-on/upgrade parts. I was not in a rush for them as I would not be bringing the car to Colorado until sometime later in thee we Spring or early Summer. But here is where my car buying is experience went South....In late April, mind you, EIGHT WEEKS after my purchase, I had not heard ANYTHING from McLaughlin Motors.... no calls, no emails, no letters. I phone them only to find that my salesman was now working in the service department. When I spoke with him, he said he was busy and would have to have someone else help me. I then reached out to the Subaru sales manager Josh. I was informed simply that the parts were on backorder. I had to ask him to pls check on when I might be able to expect them. He later said they did not know. His only suggestion was that they would refund me the money and I could order them once I had the car in Colorado and have them installed. When asked, he said installation labor charges were included in he price of the items. That turns out to be false. I would be incurring additional costs at another dealership. After no follow up from Josh, I contacted the Subaru Customer Advocate line and requested their intervention in the matter. I asked them to impress upon Josh to call me to have HIM arrange with my dealership in CO to order the parts and pay for any additional labor charges incurred. His response to the National Subaru Advocate was 'I could call him'. After spending over $42K on a car, that is not the "Customer Service" on should expect nor receive! After 2 generations of our family purchasing nearly a dozen cars from McLaughlin, this is the last purchase for us and if I can will impress upon my many friends and acquaintances not to deal with them either! BTW... without ANY further conversation with McLaughlin or Josh, I only just today received a check in the mail for the remaining unfulfilled order! AND....it's about $300 short!! Not Happy, will no longer recommend anyone to McLaughlin!

I test drove a used vehicle at this dealership and was pleasantly surprised how much the salesman, Matt Truitt knew about a vehicle they don’t even sell new on their lot. Matt was very knowledgeable and knowing I was pressed for time, had the vehicle washed and running when I arrived to take it on a test drive. I did end up buying somewhere else but only because the vehicle was missing a couple of my “must-have” options. Matt said he would keep his eyes open for me and gave me his personal cell number to call if I had any questions, whether I bought from him or I found a vehicle somewhere else. I’ve never heard a salesman offer this before and was really taken back. If you’re looking for a car and they have what you’re looking for at this dealership, I would highly recommend Matt.

Very easy to work with them. Subaru did a great job going over and setting up vehicle features. This was our second purchase from McLaughlin and working with Josh.

A while back I bought a 4-year-old fairly expensive Silhouette van from McLaughlin. Two weeks after I bought it, I was driving down the highway to GA in the middle of the winter right before Christmas time & a tire blew out. There were no nails in the tire & I did not hit a bad bump or pothole, but I was told by tire store that the tire blew out on its own because the tire was so worn out. The tire store suggested I replace all the tires as they were all in bad shape & I was on my way to GA, a 20ish hour drive from Moline IL. So, I replaced all the tires & eventually the tire rods & the AC was not all that great either. I paid ALOT of money for the piece of junk & luckily, I did not get myself killed when the tire blew out on me. I just had a couple of guys look at the van for me who really did not know much more about cars than me & that was one of my mistakes. Also, since the van was only 4-years old I thought it would be fine, so I highly recommend others to pay a certified garage to look at all used vehicles no matter how young or old they are before you buy them - that is the lesson I learned in this experience with McLaughlin. So based on how uncaring they were about sending me off with tires so bad I could have gotten myself killed I would never return to that dealership. I swore I would never return to McLaughlin & I haven't. The van sat in the lot 6 months before I bought it so I should have known better. I think it was $11K + 11% interest rate so I paid it off in a year due to the high interest rate. Used cars have higher interest rates. Guess other smarter people passed on it. Also, I bought the extended warranty & every time I called about a problem, they said the warranty did not cover it. So, the warranty only covered things that would never break so I then decided to cancel the $1K or more extended warranty & only got $800 back prorated amount. Just got out of college too & did not need to be buying an overpriced lemon. They had on the sticker the van had a 98 point inspection, but I guess they inspected it but did not fix anything or list it on the defective list before I bought it. Eventually I ended up trading it in when Obama offered the $5K back on a more gas friendly vehicle so I took that piece of junk in & bought a Toyota Corolla. As a side note, when I was looking for a replacement for the van, I did try a Ford Fusion & low & behold the salesman who sold that money pit van offered to help me at the Ford dealership & I said no way but decided the Corolla was the best bang for the buck. I loved my Toyota. Since that experience, I have now stuck with Toyotas & Hondas. I think they are the best cars made today. I just saw a review for McLaughlin & it just bought up some bad memories. To be honest if I was a car salesman, I would choose to sell new cars so I could sleep at night.

This is the best dealership I’ve ever been to, and will remain my only dealership going forward. As a single, young woman shopping alone, I felt so validated being recognized and being reassured my happiness was first priority. They got me an amazing deal, even during such a hard time with vehicles. Highly recommend seeing John (or honestly any sales consultant, considering a majority checked in on me even though my sale was only going to one of them.) my biggest hats off to Noland in financing- you made my day & reassured me with my prior horrific purchasing experiences elsewhere. You got another lifer!!

This location gave me faith in Subaru after some incredibly frustrating encounters with other locations across the US. 3 other locations couldn't diagnose a problem with a tire I'd been dealing with for nearly 3 years. Instead of pawning me off like past dealerships, they figured it out and fixed the problem for me! Everyone was very friendly, checking in regularly to give updates. Though I spent several hours here, it felt comfortable and as close to "home" as possible. Cozy couches in the waiting room, a snack bar with cookies, pastries, and delicious noms to cut off the hunger. A drink area with little bottles of water, canned soda/pop, and some sort of coffee machine that is WAY too fancy for me. Fresh fruits. Enough to put a smile on your face. The bathrooms were very clean (though I can only speak on the woman's portion.) The waiting area had a TV, several couches, a computer and extra desk space for those needing to get their internet or work on, a gaming area (either Xbox or PlayStation?) and a kids section. I'm glad I stumbled upon this location, now I need excuses to go back there! I'd recommend to any Subaru lover.

We went to test drive a used Subaru. Brandon helped us with it. It was a nice clean car and Brandon was great about answering questions we had. The whole sales process was the smoothed I've ever been through and I've worked in sales and finance in the car business in the past for decades. There have been a couple hiccups with the vehicle but the minute I called, the Used Car manager called me right back and got things handled.

I love taking my car to McLaughlin’s Motors. They get you right in, they have a nice Environment setting, they always keep you updated on what they’re doing to your car, you shouldn’t give you a free car wash. They treat you with respect very professional. I would recommend McLaughlin’s motors to anyone they are the best
