Best place in town for any repair or general service. The inspections are thorough and presented at the end of every service.

Monmouth Kunes location doesn’t offer hardly anything to purchase a vehicle or trade in. They try to low ball you, and they’ll claim there’s a bunch of issues with your vehicle when there’s not. If you turn the offer down they give you, they’ll put the issues they claim is wrong even though they’re not into the computer. I recommend going to a different Kunes location.

I went to look at a Grand Cherokee 6/2/23. Clint Bonar had me drive almost 2 hours one way to take a look at it. Everything on the Jeep said as is, yet there were no pictures posted online showing this. He sent me more pictures and neglected to show me this or even mention it. We weren't even out of the parking lot before the transmission/motor was acting up. After a block, he had me turn around and take it back. On top of this the a/c was blowing hot air. Would not recommend traveling very far to see a used vehicle.

I purchased a Right Hand drive Jeep in 2015 from this dealership. It was right about the time Kunes took over. With the purchase I was told I would have Powertrain warranty as long as I owned the vehicle. I just had to do all my maintenance with them. Fast forward to now. The service department is all new people. I have had everything done at this dealership except the brake work. Every oil change, transmission flush, even have purchased my tires there. I called and have a wheel bearing which needs to be replaced and it is covered on the sheet that shows the warranty. Well now the warranty is not valid. I am told I didn't change the air filter with them. But this vehicle was there about every 6 weeks for an oil change and anything else I needed. I do not recommend this dealership.

I had gone to Kunes in Monmouth for a specific vehicle. They had one that checked all the boxes for what I wanted. I made an appointment with one person. I showed up a little earlier than the appointment and that person wasn't there. I was immediately poached from the first person I was scheduled with. The salesman ask me to sit down and and started asking questions getting into my personal financing all before I test drove the car. I questioned this and that salesman got flustered and another salesman stepped in. I was then poached from that salesman. I was then allowed to test drive the car. I liked it. It was what I wanted. We sat down to talk money. He offered 29,000 for my vehicle. I told him that wasn't enough and showed him the value on paper of my vehicle. He had a hard copy printed on paper of the $29,000 offer. He came back and offered $31,000 for my trade. He eventually said they would give me an additional $1,500 towards my trade. I said that was acceptable. The salesman hand wrote this on the paperwork. He ask me to choose my payment-DO NOT DO THIS!! I ended up taking the car home for an extended test drive. All the next day, I was texting back and forth with the salesman about financing and other details of the car. It didn't have slush mats. I have a dirty job and those are necessary so I don't ruin the carpet. I wanted those at no extra charge as I was purchasing a $50,000 vehicle. They then agreed to an additional $170.00 towards the trade for me to purchase after market mats. The salesman messaged me later to tell me they got me a great rate with Chrysler Financing at 4.97%. My Credit Union was offering 1.8%. The salesman argued with me about sending my loan to my Credit Union and that I would lose some of the rebates. Back and forth. He finally relented. All the paperwork was sent to my Credit Union. I went there to go look at the numbers and double check to see if everything was what we agreed to and what do you know-it wasn't what we discussed. I called on speaker with my Loan Officer there going over the numbers. They changed my trade back to the original $29,000 that was originally offered. I went back and forth with the salesman and then he put the GM on. We also had the same conversation. It was going nowhere. I told him I'd bring the car back. He couldn't have cared less. And so I did. I ended up purchasing a trim level higher at $500.00 more than what the car at Kunes was. The other dealership gave me what I was looking for for my trade and I received 0% financing and $3000 rebates. That was being offered at the time I was at Kunes. Do your research and double check all the numbers!!

Now this place is no longer owned by John Cavanaugh it totally sucks. Chrysler Dodge and Jeep are the worst made cars on the road today and you couldn't pay me to drive one. I wouldn't trust Kunes to give me the correct time of day.

Steer clear of this dealership! Very shady practices and they treat employees like crap! Major turn over! So imagine how your customer service will be! They don't care about local customers, because they are part of a bigger company not in area. You have been warned!
