“I had the honor of working with Jim, the owner of Prairie Fire Glass, to create blown glass bulbs incorporating my father’s ashes. From the moment we met, Jim was incredibly compassionate and thoughtful. He explained how important it is for him to truly understand the person he’s honoring, and he encouraged us to share stories, photos, and even my father’s eulogy.
We talked about my dad’s personality, his favorite music, and chose colors that held special meaning to us. Jim listened with care and made the experience feel deeply personal.
Just two weeks later, we received our bulbs — and they are absolutely stunning. Each one is a unique, heartfelt tribute. My children and I are so grateful to have something so beautiful and meaningful to remember my dad by.
