The pizza here at Pequod’s is so good, my husband cried. We’re from the west coast and regularly are disheartened by substandard pies, but this one blew all expectations out of the water. My husband said he would make the 6 hr drive exclusively for this pizza again.Vegetarian options: Cheesy deep dishKid-friendliness: Kid menu

This place is so overrated. From the outside it looks abandoned--I know, super kitschy ie dump. Inside it's not much better. Horrible chairs and wobbly tables with napkins to level them out. Plates have worn off finishes. And they're plastic--buy new ones. So unsanitary. The bathrooms smelled of sewer so bad it was shocking. It was such an awful smell esp when another guest left both bathroom doors open the entire place reeked of it. Where is the health dept? Would not recommend.

Always on point, definitely in my top three. Fave combo is sausage pepperoni and green olives well done. And they do it right!

The pizza was incredible. We had a half hour wait for seats (surprisingly short, we were told 1.5 hrs initially) and while it was incredibly busy there the staff was great with their service. It's absolutely worth the drive, the wait, the heat in the building and the lack of parking. Though I think if we do get it again it'll have to be takeout. Just easier that way with how busy they are

This place was highly recommended to try. My wife and I went and boy am I glad we did. We tried both a thin crust and a deep dish. And though both were good, the deep dish takes the cake. It was fantastic and totally worth it. This place is small. Tight seating. And from my experience, at least for a Friday, make a reservation or you’ll be waiting a while. I suggest calling for a res any day to be sure you get a table. Service was spot on and friendly. Cheers to you and your staff!Parking: Street parking and can get limited but we had no issues at 5 pm on a Friday.Kid-friendliness: This is fine for kids. Seating is tight though.

I live in Chicago but I did not grow up here. That said - I love the pizza here. Like anything else - I order what I like which means sausage pepperoni and mushrooms. I like the crust which is thick and caramelized. The sauce has a nice rich flavor which nicely ties the salty toppings and slightly sweet crust. I also love the original and unpretentious dining area. Reasonably priced, too.

Made the long trip from Oak Lawn to this place for"The Best Pizza in Chicago"It actually was! Very impressive. It is a very small place with seating on top of each other, but the food is delicious and easy to overlook the minor concerns.Ask to sit in the back where things are more spread out and quieter.Shame it is so far away :-(Great Time
