Asak, best Quality & Rates Zabiha Halal certified Meat & poultry Desi grocery store in town. Ashfaq Uncle & Aunty are soo sweet & wonderful, in the first meeting itself they make you feel family. At times we call last minute & they still arrange everything in time and also wait extra at times if running late ☺️👍🏻

Small and convenient store. High quality chicken and meat. They were so quick and perfect with the Qurbani orders. The owners are very understanding and respectful for special orders. Very happy with the service and will definitely order again from them.

As a Mexican, I have encountered my share of racist people, but now, as a Mexican Muslim within the Muslim community, I have shockingly experienced that some Desi individuals are not as accepting. Today at Ruby’s, I had the most appalling encounter yet. The owner, whom I had never met before, was incredibly rude to me and my mother-in-law simply because I was speaking Spanish to the Hispanic butcher who clearly understood what I wanted to order. The owner forcefully said, "This is an Indian store; no Spanish here."
If you are Mexican or Hispanic, you know there is a specific way we grill our meat, especially steak, and it's extremely challenging to explain this to a Desi person so the steak is cut correctly. I have repeatedly received incorrect orders when dealing with a Desi butcher or person, often getting something completely different from what I ordered. Every single time, I receive Pasanda meat when I am asking for Carne Asada. I have been to this store before and spoken Spanish to the butcher (very friendly people, by the way). I simply tell them what I need, and they understand. Today, I was trying to get the butcher's attention to tell him what I wanted, but the owner aggressively refused to let me speak to him. We explained that we needed to communicate in Spanish to place our order correctly. His response was, “No Spanish here; this is an Indian store.” When I explained that I couldn't communicate my needs in any other way and started to walk away, he rudely told us to leave his store and take our business elsewhere.
My mother-in-law had also asked him to grind some Kheema Qurbani meat. He grabbed the bag, and I honestly feared he was going to throw it out as my mother-in-law was pleading with him to at least help with the Kheema meat. I had to chase him, terrified that he was going to dispose of it. He didn’t need to be this rude. Thankfully, this is not the only Zabiha Halal store in Morton Grove, and after this dreadful encounter, it will be the last time my family and I ever go there.
Pakistani and Indian Muslims desperately need to learn to be more accepting of other Muslim races. Just as you love your biryani, we also love our carne asada. I will find another Zabiha Halal store that is more respectful and meets my needs.

I have been buying lamb, goat, beef, chicken, col cuts, and other groceries from Ruby for the past 10 years. Quality is consistent and never declined.It's a small mom and pop store, and they really put a lot of effort into customer satisfaction.

The chicken and meat quality was very bad and some kind of bad taste and smell. Couldn’t even eat. They freeze for a day before selling but even when I got right after that, it was still the same bad taste and smell. This was in the past, I don’t know how it is now.

When I placed order for a goat, the man told me that he had 23#, 24#, and 26# goat so I ordered to pick it up next day. I went to pick it up the third day but they told me that my order is not ready since our delivery did not come. I had to drive long distance for nothing.

Everytime I go they overcharge me for something yesterday I thought a box of halal chicken nuggets for 19.99$ it has 19 to 11 nuggets so that's over 1$ for each nugget?I am hesitant to shop here because of the inconsistent pricing and if I do point it out they tell me that was the old price. Just check your receipt each time
