“Kukulu Market is a small Ethiopian shop in Uptown. I found some spices and incense, and the owner was kind. However, the place could use some upkeep, it doesn’t match the photos online and feels a bit neglected. I’ll be back to review the quality of the berbere and mitmita after I get the chance to try. “I said I would go home and leave a positive review today based upon the interaction I saw between an irate customer and the ALDI associate and here it is. The customer was an older women with little joy left of her life aside from complaining to the person ringing her up about how bad the store is and how she hates shopping at ALDI and goes on about how other local stores are problematic. The ALDI employee used all grace and smiles to attempt to disarm her but in the end the only thing that brought it to an end was the conclusion of her transaction. Kudos to the ALDI employee for being as cool as he could be throughout the interaction. It was a model of how to deal with a bratty customer. Additionally I always find the store to be clean, well stocked, and other employees cheery and professional. A joy to shop here.”
