Went to go and cash a check FROM their bank decided to charge me 5$ to cash a check FROM them. Terrible service. I’d understand if it was a different banks check but it’s Cefcu. This is BS

I dealt with Ashley L. Had a hard hit a had hit on my credit due to not being informed correctly. Upon calling and trying to let them fix this they denied any help. We had to switch all of our accounts over due to fraud. We were told all automatic payments that were set up before would be active on all the new accounts. One of them were not. Now my awesome track record is impacted for 7 years because someone failed to accept a mistake was made. A credit union can be nice but not admitting fault and letting the member take the hit is worth saying we made a big mistake joining cefcu. Now the other reviews are starting to make sense.

I’ve had lots of issues with mobile deposit, to which there is an easy fix, but there does not seem to be a single customer facing employee at CEFCU with decision making authority to fix the problem. After 15 years of banking with CEFCU I’ve moved my primary banking elsewhere.

I will tell you-- avoid getting a car loan through CEFCU at all costs. My collector, Sarah, doesn't know how to do her job.Mike murphy ford in Morton, IL, Set me up with Cefcu and it was the biggest regret I have doing business. I'm not going to spew what's going on but for the love of god just avoid them. Go through a different credit union.I'm 35 years old and i've bought many cars through various banks with no issues. Cefcu is certainly a special kind of stupid.

Terrible customer service. The lady with the long black hair that works inside as a teller is extremely rude. Been there several times because we like the dividend so chose to do our mortgage through Cefcu (not day to day banking) and she is always awful to work with. The company as a whole they never answer their phones and takes forever to get a response when you need anything.

It's been a long time since I've been treated this badly. My 20's comes to mind dealing with pushy arrogant car salesman and insurance adjusters treating you like you don't have any idea what's going on with no respect for your time. Applied for a checking account on line only to get this reply:"I am sorry you were unable to open an account. Federal law requires us to compare any new members to certain government lists. If the name of a new member matches or closely resembles that of an individual on the lists, we receive an alert.Although we were able to determine that you are not the individual identified on the lists, we are currently unable to move forward with an online application that has an OFAC alert. To move forward with opening your account please visit a local office or apply by mail.Ok, so they know it's not me but they're not going to do anything about it either.Final straw, walked into the Morton Detroit street location today, told the nice lady why I was there, gave her my name, she asked me to have a seat. And there I sat for 25 minutes. No I'll be right with you, no it'll only be a few minutes longer. Ignored, totally and utterly ignored. I'm not sure who runs this branch but some comprehensive and intense customer service training is definitely required.
