There's a mask mandate for the state. The signs posted in store reiterates this. Zero employees were wearing masks. This branch will never get my business again until they can follow simple safety rules.

It would be a far better shipping experience if the older blonde woman didn't follow you around the store, staring at you eerily and asking random weird questions ("Have you lost something?" I think it's pretty obvious when a middle aged-man with a cart full of items is looking at products on a shelf that he is, in fact, not looking for something he lost; but what do I know?) I do not know if she thinks middle-aged people who shop at the store frequently are up to no good, or if she is trying to intentionally make people feel uncomfortable so they leave the store prematurely, but I can say for sure it has caused both my husband and I, on separate occasions, to leave the store before we were finished shopping, therefore taking our frequent business elsewhere. We are well-kempt middle-aged people, we spent a lot of money there. Maybe we will again some day if she leaves or stops treating customers like potential criminals.

So glad DG is in our town. They have most items you could need at a decent price. No need to drive 25 miles to big box stores!

This is the largest and cleanest Dollar General I have been in. They had everything I needed and the employee was pleasant and knowledgeable. I will definitely visit this location again.

I love the way the store here in Mount Carroll is set up. I like seeing the frozen section first. Good selection of frozen food items. I also love the way the checkout is set up. Flows alot better than others.
