Istanbul Market and Cafe is Chicago's first Turkish market, offering high-quality products and a unique culinary experience. It is a well-kept, hygienic, and aesthetically pleasing one-stop shop, selling everything from fresh produce and halal meat to freshly baked bread, imported dry goods, and pre-made gift baskets. The attached cafe serves delicious, authentic, and home-style Turkish food, including snacks and Kyrgyz delicacies. The kofta meal is a large, great-value portion with delicious meat, tasty sauce, and lots of vegetables, arguably tasting better than versions found in Istanbul. The baklava is one of the best, fresh, perfectly balanced, and not too sweet. Reviews call it the best Turkish food in the Midwest. While some note the prices can be a bit expensive, the market is very organized, the staff is nice and helpful, and customer feedback is valued. It is a place that makes customers smile and drives them to visit regularly from hours away.
The entire shop is exceptional in every respect; the cleanliness is clearly evident, and the customer service is highly refined. Thank you very much for your efforts 💐
