Lumber in Oconomowoc has the best team, Gabe who is the greatest manager they ever had at the store and Kyle helps my customers when they are looking for new deck choices. Paul is always ready to answer my questions from orders, to billing questions when Roger is with another customer. Ron with his many years of running the outside yard. From assembling lumber orders to making sure your doors and windows are loaded with care, he is truly the best at his job. R.P. lumber in Oconomowoc is a lumber yard worth the drive. Keep up the excellent work guys.

Placed an online order here for pickup on 2x4s a few weeks back (I would normally pick out boards myself at the big box stores, but figured I could trust them not to give me too bad of pieces). Got home and found that almost every 2x4 was warped. Some of it so badly that it will probably be unusable (including some 16 ft long boards that will be a pain to transport again). My guess is they just gave me a reject pile that no one else wanted. Last time I go here. Might as well just go to Lowe's where it will be cheaper.

My wife and I went to the Mt Vernon R.P. Lumber to check on Trex decking, which we didn't know a lot about Trex but heard good reviews on it, we knew there are many different colors and styles, Rick greeted us with a smile when we came in and asked us if he could help us, we told Rick what we were looking for, Rick took us right to the Trex display, and in 15-20 minutes we knew what we wanted, Rick asked us if we had a material list, we informed him we had no idea where to start, he kindly ask us the information on our deck and offered to help us with the material we needed, we gave him our phone number as will as our email and in a short time, Rick called and emailed us our quote with the material we needed and cost, we are still deciding on the color but we will be back to purchase our deck from Rick, what great service and kindness he gave us, thank you Rick for making our visit to R.P a joy, God Bless.Tom and Lisa

Menards had zero treated 2x4’s in stock while RP Lumber had just over 200. Price was the same as Menards but the lumber from RP seemed to be a higher quality. The guys were friendly and pleasant to deal with. Great place and I’ll be back the next time I need something! Also ordered a counter top over 10 years ago and the process was painless.

As a contractor I do a great deal of business with RP Lumber. The guys are great to work with and much more personal than the "big box stores"!!
