We used North Shore classics recently to purchase an 86 Chevy classic. The process is pretty smooth about what you would get from any dealership. In our case, we had an independent, third-party company inspect the vehicle, and Jerry made the truck available easily for my inspector to come and check it out. Play chess with any used car dealership classic or not do your homework about the vehicle have a professional drive and inspect it for you and give you a detailed report then you should be good to go.

Originally I wrote a fairly good review because the staff seemed so nice and helpful. However, I feel the need to update my review because of so many obvious issues with this car I purchased. I realize it was sold on consignment and not all on North Shore. But some of the issues were so obvious that I feel they could have told me. I had to have my nephew look at the car for me because it was in a different state. But they would not let him test drive it or take it out in the daylight because they said the roads were wet.Well there were so many obvious problems with this car. My fault for not viewing it in person but rather sent a family member that lived local to the dealership. Some things I would imagine were obvious issues and not conveyed by the seller. He told me on the phone that the AC was good and blew cold. Not true. The compressor clutch kept locking up and making the belt squeal. Was out of freon. Had to replace the compressor and belt. Also was leaking antifreeze due to many holes in the radiator and no overflow tank. Over-heated within the first 15 miles. When I went to shut off the motor, the key jammed and had to suffocate the cab to shut her down. I know the lock was messed with because when I went to hit the horn, it did not work and fell apart in my hands. Huge list of obvious problems. It even kept stalling out when it arrived on the shipping trailer. Sorry guys but I have already had to put $8k into this car just to get it road worthy and pass inspection since the backup lights, tail light, horn etc did not work. Carb needed total rebuild. the list goes on and on. I will still give benefit of the doubt and only drop one more star. Only because I think some of the stuff you must have seen like radiator leaking. Also was told the owner had the build sheet for me. Or maybe you said he had the BS to give me and I assumed Build Sheet. He had no recent receipts and could not tell me anything about the motor or why things were not hooked up like the vacuum advance.

Purchased a duster recently. Spoke to "Kevin" on the phone prior to purchase and he assured me the vehicle was complete minus two parts that i could see from the photos. When the vehicle was shipped to me I then discovered that HALF of the under dash components were missing. There was a hard tick in the valvetrain that was not disclosed. A tierod end was falling off the vehicle as it was being unloaded, the wipers dont work, the heater doesnt work nor does it have most of its parts in order to operate. They misinstalled the brake reservoir cover and it leaked all over the engine bay paint and wrecked it. The temp gauge doesnt work. The tach wasn't wired up at all. And a whole host of other missing or non-functioning items that were never represented AT ALL! I accept that this is a 50 year old car and will have issues. But missing parts and major noticable items not being represented are not resonable. Have yet to be contact back by management but will be filing a legal claim if no response or resolution is given.

Buyer beware of North Shore Classics. I paid 40K for a for a restored 1973 Challenger only to find that it had a bad crank bearing thus the engine being bad. They are refusing to make it right; telling me it will cost me another 10K for a crate engine and they will cover the labor. After paying 40K for a car that was advertised as restored and having the salesperson tell me the car is in great shape everything is good to go. I should not have to pay anything to get the car how it should have been when sold. A restored classic car. Do your homework, check the reviews online. Doing business like this and screwing hard working people over appears to be a pattern for them.

Buying a car out of state having only the photos and description to go off of was slightly anxiety inducing, however, the staff was spot on with the description, eager to answer questions, and was more than willing to send the car to a local shop for inspection. The only thing missing that would have made the experience perfect would have been a call letting me know the car had shipped, I was like a kid Christmas morning waiting for shipping details. Regardless, the car made it in one piece and all is right in the world.

North Shore Classics and their staff are top notch! The process from start to finish was truly the best I’ve had in my car buying experience. Jerry is the best! I highly recommend them if you’re looking for a classic car.

Just returned back To Canada after flying down to North Shore Classics to check out a 1969 Camaro that the website said was investment grade and that the car shows and drives great. I went down with cash In hand and transport back to Canada prearranged to purchase the car but was left very disappointed with the true condition of the car. This car is no where near an investment grade car. If this car was bought at an auction with the buyer not having any repercussion with the purchase, they would be very disappointed. The car looks great from 5 ft away but closer look shows orange peel texture from a $23000 dollar paint job as described on the website. Website says updated stereo but has a broken antenna and stereo not working.Suspension was very stiff and unforgiving, the clutch worn and in desperate need of replacement, throw out bearing very stiff, window seals poorly installed with lots of wind noise, centre console loose and making noise, rear end making clunking noise on take off. Rear back up lights not working. Driving experience was very disappointing and completely uncomfortable. This experience has left me wondering how people can buy cars online without physically seeing the vehicle in person

North Shore Classics is top notch! Friendly and helpful staff. Starting with Dean holding my new car for me even when he could have sold it many times while waiting for me to make arrangements. He is a man of integrity. The team of mechanics that showed the car to my nephew on a Saturday because I was out of state. He said they were all so helpful. Then Christy and Kristen that helped make the financial end go smooth as silk. I highly recommend the North Shore Classic team. Thanks so much!

Great experience! Purchased the vehicle from outside the Country based on pictures/video. Picked it up and drove 1000 miles home. Kevin was great to work with and the whole experience was great! Hope they have whatever I’m looking for next!

I had such an excellent experience with Jimmy, Jerry and Christy in the purchase of my Navigator (which was kind of an out-of-the-box typical sale for them I think) that I would strongly recommend this dealership to anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from them! They represented the owner very well on this consignment sale and sure made it easy for me as well. They are very nice and trustworthy people! Cheers, Craig
