Very bad experience and waste of time. First, Cody failed to provide the correct parts for my car, which I had ordered for pickup. Second, when I tried to return the parts, he failed to give me my money back. He suggested that I go to a different, much bigger store because he claimed to have no money in his store. So, I drove to the Round Lake Beach IL location, and thanks to the manager there, the situation was resolved regarding the parts and money return.

I have had great experiences with other O’Reilly’s but this was my first and only experience with the store on Lake St/Townline Rd. I came in to buy a windshield Sun shade. The gentleman behind the register was friendly and directed me to the aisle. On my way to the register I saw some mobile phone holders and I decided to try a vent mounted system. After I made my purchases i went to my car and I opened the phone Mount and put the vent Mount on the vent. I put what seemed to be a strong magnet between my phone and it’s silicone case but the magnet was not strong enough to hold the phone in it’s case. I realized that I would have to attach the magnet to my phone and remove it from the case in order to use the holder. I’m not willing to remove the case every time I’m in the car and I didn’t want to apply the adhesive to the case so I put everything back into the box and brought it back into the store.The friendly cashier wasn’t behind the register. An older man asked me if I was ready to check out and I told him I wanted to return an item I just purchased. He told me to see the man behind the register. I told the man behind the register that I wanted to return the phone Mount I just purchased 5 minutes ago. He asked why while he tried to open the box. I told him that I couldn’t use it, it would slide down and fall off. I told him the magnet wasn’t strong enough to work through my phone’s case. I said, “It doesn’t work for me.” He had the box open now and he snarled accusingly, “Where’s the magnet?” I said it’s in the box. He said it wasn’t. I knew he hadn’t lifted the Mount to check under it so I reached over and lifted the Mount and said, “They put it under the Mount, and you have a lot of nerve implying I took it and kept it.” He said, “It does work, you did it wrong.” He said you have to take off the paper over the adhesive and put the magnet on your phone.” I told him I am aware of how it works, but it does not work for me. I want to keep my phone in it’s case. He continued to argue that it worked. I asked him if he was refusing to give me a refund. He said, “You said it didn’t work and it does.” I said, “I said that it did not work for me. I can’t believe you are arguing with a customer. You really shouldn’t treat your customers like this. I don’t have time for this, please give me a refund. Or are you refusing to give me a refund?”This whole time the older man stood in the back watching this encounter. The friendly cashier also in the back appeared but hesitated to come to the counter. A customer had walked in and also witnessed this man’s behavior. Finally after several minutes, he began processing my refund. I asked him his name. He said, I’m Cody, the manager. I’m pretty sure Cody the manager would not speak to a man the way he spoke to me. He certainly wouldn’t take the time to mansplain the mounting. He handed me my refund receipt and snarled, “Enjoy it.”

The man that helped me was very rude and jumped over me and helped someone else! All I needed was help with fuses he told me he was busy and he didn't have time hello I am in a handicap parking I barely can walk and you can't help me with fuses I won't come back and you lost a great costumer from Texas in Texas O'Reilly was my #1 but here hmm I guess it's autozone

When I bought green antifreeze I wish the person who waited on me had asked if maybe I really wanted the orange antifreeze. Got home and mixed the two. I know it's on me but one simple question would have been nice.

We went in and had Andy help us with new wiper blades. He was helpful and even installed the replacement wiper blades. Kind and helpful are just what makes a happy customer!
