Prime Beef LTD is an old-fashioned, family-owned bulk butcher shop located near downtown Mundelein. It is described as a hidden gem and the best butcher in the area hands down, carrying all native Black Angus beef, pork, poultry, delicious seafood, and imported groceries. The expert butchers hand trim and custom cut meat to your exact specifications, offering a great selection of the absolute highest quality. The team provides excellent, kind, and informative customer service, with staff that are very nice and even help carry bags to the car.
Customers are impressed by the very reasonable prices and the convenient "freezer ready" service. The shop also offers tamales, sausages, hams, and other goodies, along with a selection of fine wines and cold beer. Special orders are welcome, and they provide catering packages, gift wrapping, gift certificates, and accept LINK cards. The business is family-run by some of the best people, creating customers for life who couldn’t recommend it more.
WOW - I now know where the beef is. We ordered a tenderloin and saw Silvia prepare our fillets right in front of us. Prime Beef has no equal. We will be back for thanksgiving turkey and prime rib on Xmas. They are open every day of the year. Highly recommended!
