Needed to return some auto parts that were shipped out of California they quoted me $104.00 the shipping cost shipped to me was only $60 When I asked about it the owner told me that he is a franchise and needs to mark things up. I totally understand that, but I still felt that it was high. We drove over to the Libertyville UPS store and they were $10 cheaper same exact package, not the end of the world but I still feel like he is gouging people won’t be going back. My suggestion is go to the Libertyville UPS Store.

They are not even good for a star! Miserable store and people are working there they must close this store! Rasism I guess is their first name and they definitely don’t know how to do they job! Better find another UPS store if you dont want your package to be lost or if you want to ruin your day!

Poor customer service. The owners son is never polite, not helpful and has a poor attitude. Perfect example of how not to represent a business. I would not recommend this UPS.

DO NOT PAY for a second delivery at any UPS store. The company does not officially guarantee it, and you will not receive a refund. However, I am preparing a case for court. UPS must fulfill its obligations and provide the service, or refund the money.

This is the worst, most messy, UNFRIENDLY ups store I’ve ever encountered. Stick with Third Lake they’re the best!

Do not advertise "Notary"when nobody there can even do it. They need to get registered as notaries to help a customer!!!

—WORST UPS LOCATION—The owner Tom offers the opposite of customer service. Yes, this guy is that bad. I came in < an hour from closing with 6 big heavy boxes. UPS app recommended to have store scan the barcode. Mundelein UPS owner asked me to email pdf but that wasn’t working either. I kindly asked if I could email pics of barcode and that’s when the extra rude attitude began. I went home, printed labels for the owner and returned. I mentioned that it would have been nice if he would have at least tried to use the barcode pics. That’s where he went off, raising his voice for me to get out of his store — yelling that I’m giving him “attitude.” Did he just not want to process 6 big heavy boxes at the end of the day? I also asked him if I was being singled out because I could not come up with a reason why he would not take my money and process theshipments.. I tried to reason with him but he was irrational. I’ve been going to the Mundelein UPS for years and this man is always unhappy and rude. UPS corporate is useless. You cannot even get in touch with a human. UPS’s system that eliminates communication enables horrible service at locations like Mundelein.I went to the Palatine UPS. What a difference. Gave me a cart. Helped with the door. Thanked me for my business.

We had a UPS package dropped off with Tom the owner and was supposed to be overnighted. Had no updates and UPS tried saying the package was never recieved when it was. Do not trust this store to ship ANYTHING important. My package is now just disappeared and they cant tell me where it is.

—WORST UPS LOCATION—I actually called the police on the owner. I also asked him if I was being singled out because I could not come up with any other reason why he would not take my money and process theshipments other than laziness or potentially exclusion. I tried to reason with him but he was predictably irrational. I’ve been going to the Mundelein UPS for years and this man is always unhappy and rude. I made a police report. Maybe others will do the same as needed or call UPS corporate, until a pattern proves this owner unfit to be a part of UPS.I went to the Palatine UPS. What a difference. Gave me a cart. Helped with the door. Thanked me for my business.

Customer service rep. Tom who helped me was Great! There were a lot of other customers coming in at like 6/6:30pm and he was able to help everyone- including myself! Professional and kind. Gave me a suggestion and helped me figure out how to print! It seemed the other customers were happy too- thank you for being kind and very hard working!!

Usually not the type to complain but am sincerely bothered by the way we were treated by one male employee. Not knowing that I didn't have to select "print terms and conditions" at check out, the employee reprimanded me after I said I wouldn't be needing it. We had several packages and I only made the mistake the first time, but the employee spoke to me in a tone as though I had intentionally done it to waste his time- not knowing how to respond to him kindly, I simply said: "oh no". He glared me down (a solid 10-second stare) as if I had insulted his mum. His manager (I assume) cut in and reminded him that he doesn't need to use a tone and kindly explained my mistake to me. This alone wouldn't have bothered me much but my grandfather was there as well. My grandfather is hard of hearing and has been working on letting people know. He did, but the employee (while processing several packages) repeatedly used such a low tone it was difficult for even me to hear. It may seem like a small thing but it's embarrassing and anxiety inducing for him to have to repeatedly ask what is being said. A polite tone and compassion for differently-abled people would have gone a long way. We will be using the Libertyville location going forward.

My experiences at this location echo the many reviews discussing a specific rude employee. If you're not friendly, that's fine. But condescending comments are entirely unnecessary. I go out of my way to go to the Vernon Hills location near the Binnys. I could be wrong, but it appears to be owned by a family. They're very friendly, have great customer service, and are quick. It's worth the extra trip to Vernon hills if you specifically need UPS and are not in the mood to deal with this location.
