I had a hamburger, their custom beer, and bread pudding. Everything was awesome. The BBQ sauce was so good! Definitely recommended.

Really wanted to like this place I’ve heard about it for years.Had a plate of very dry pork, Mac and cheese that went bad the day before.Left wanting something to eat after paying.

I have smoked hundreds of #s of pork shoulder and eaten my weight in it as well traveling on business. 17th Street pulled pork sandwich today was as good as any I have ever had. Perfectly moist and smokey, the bun was fresh with a generous portion of pork.The ribs have the perfect smoke with the expert tug off the bone texture.The brisket, cut from the flat, is moist, tender, smokey, excellent work!!I'm a fan of fried pickle spears over chips due to the high pickle to batter ratio. These pickle chips have a high pickle to batter ratio so they pass.Speaking of eating my weight on something, their bread pudding is the best! Even the sauce is perfect. The bread pudding is so good, I would drive here just for dessert!!Nachos also great, not mind blowing but still excellent.We tried all the sauces and all are worth taking home, which we did.I am so pleased to see 17th Street is still working at Championship level. Strong work, we'll be back!!

It was amazing! The atmosphere was so incredible. Everything was cleaned thoroughly. The food was very quick and delicious. The waitresses were very kind and likable. I would definitely recommend the Bread Pudding, it was my favorite!

Maybe I've been spoiled with good BBQ in the South, but I'm not much of a fan of this beloved barbecue joint.The building was easy to find from the signage. The interior was clean and what you would expect. The staff was warm and accommodating. I had really high hopes that the food would match.It's much drier than you would expect. The brisket was flavorful from the rub but broke in shards. Maybe that is the style here but it wasn't very nice. The pork was far beyond needing to be changed out in whatever is used for storage because of the dryness. Worst of all, I've never known pulled pork to be unseasoned.The sauces were okay. The fries were delicious and piping hot. The coleslaw could have been amazing but had bell peppers thrown in for some reason.Maybe I was wrong for visiting on a Monday, but with this many awards, I would expect to be knocked off my feet any time.

Great place ran by a great family! Many of the staff have been there a long time, that tells a lot in the restaurant business. They also have great classes for those wanting to learn more about smoking and running your business.

Decided to stop here based on the reviews. Has a nice tavern style atmosphere. The employees are very friendly and attentive.Now the food...well for a place that have mid 4 star reviews I expected more.The grilled garlic bread was the best part of the meal.Brisket was dry and tough.The pulled pork was the better of the 2 meats but mediocre at best.I tried the Mac n cheese that was recommended but was not impressed with the overcooked noodles topped with shredded cheese.Last I tried the bread pudding. Well if you love bread pudding like I do then don't order this. It was a over cooked block.I hope this isn't the norm here and they just had a rough day due to the slow lunch.If it wasn't for the friendly service this is probably a 2 star.For a $30 bill I would keep driving.

Food had a good flavor ( that's why I gave it a 1) but very dry. I ordered a full slab and they charged me for 2 half slabs (price gouging rip-off). Sounds like they want to rip their customers off. Full slab 24 bucks 1/2 slab 18.50 almost doubled their money. Food network worthy not even close. Oh and they don't give you bbq sauce when you order take-out.

If you are driving far for a bbq experience I would not waste the time or the money going to this "bbq" spot. At best this is what you can do in your back yard. We got the grand champion with two sides. Chose the greens and the beans. The collards were not good unless you like slime and bbq sauce. The beans too sweet. Pork was dry brisket absolutely no taste. Ribs were ok...the servers only gave attention to the local people. We weren't even asked if we were ever here or where we were from. Drinks good if you like bottled beer. Spent over $100 and it feels like we were just snacking. To better the experience pay attention to all customers. All in all not worth hours of driving. Please do not drive here. Drive to Rodney Scott's which is further but sooo worth the drive and you pay for way more food that tastes like you needed to try it. This was not worth the hype on food network or the reviews
