Very helpful and caring staff. I fostered, and then adopted my cat Luna, (Tibbet). Now I am looking to get another adoptee. :)

The Humane Society of Southern Illinois | HSSI was founded in 1956. We are a very small 501c3, non-profit open access facility that accepts animal that are surrendered by the public as well as occasionally functioning as a holding facility for animals from the Jackson County Animal Control.
Our facility takes in approximately 3,000 animals yearly and we do the best we can to find homes for all of them.
