Gerardo Martinez Is an outstanding salesman. We did not feel pressured. He didn’t ’jack around’ and brought us a very good deal the first time! We’ve dealt with many care salesmen if our life and Gerardo did care about not wasting our time. We live in mid Illinois and would drive up to Chicago area again in a heart beat to be treated as good as he treated us!

She was patient, knowledgeable, and truly listened to what I was looking for. Absolutely worthless. Been trying to set up a service appt and every time I call, I cannot get to talk to a service dept, the lady that answers tells me that I’ll get a call back, and I never get a call back. So basically worthless

I normally don’t leave reviews, but my experience with Bill Jacobs Volkswagen has been extremely frustrating from the moment I purchased my vehicle.
When I initially bought my 2025 Atlas, the finance manager was noticeably rude and dismissive, which should have been my first warning sign. Unfortunately, my recent service experience has been even worse.
My vehicle developed major issues at only 4,000 miles, including multiple transmission-related failures. It was towed in, and although a serious wiring harness issue and now a transmission failure were discovered, not one person from the dealership—not my salesperson, not the service manager, not the general manager—ever proactively reached out to me about the situation or to offer any support.
The service advisor I’ve been working with, John, has shown poor communication throughout the entire process. I’ve had to call repeatedly just to get updates on my own vehicle, which has now spent days in the shop. There has been zero outreach, no follow-up, and no care shown during a very stressful situation with a brand-new vehicle.
To add to that, I had to pay out of pocket for towing after VW Customer Care told me to return it to the selling dealer since they had just repaired it — and I still have no update from the dealership on whether I will be reimbursed. It feels like once the sale was made, the customer experience and support became an afterthought.
This is not the level of service I expected from a Volkswagen dealership, especially with a major powertrain issue on a brand-new vehicle. I hope management reads this and takes steps to improve communication and customer care, because right now I cannot recommend this dealership based on my experience.

My Dad and I visited Bill Jacob’s Volkswagen to look for my first new car! Ricardo, was the best salesman I’ve ever seen! He is so helpful, and caring. He told us all of the information we needed, the process was so easy and quick. I will recommend Ricardo to my family & friends!
