I’ve been to this location a few times and I personally have not had great experiences with the people that work here. The employees I’ve dealt with before were very snooty and always seemed to be very impatient with helping me and gave off passive aggressive tones in their way of speaking to me. It completely turned me off when it kept happening when I visited the location so I avoided coming to this location for a while. I just so happened to be in the area and I really needed to pick up some makeup and I decided to go in the store to get what I need and leave. I had met Shre and she was such a lovely person, she helped me so much, her energy was so light and she was very sweet! Shre also took her time with me and it felt like a personalized experience. I’m very glad I had met her yesterday when coming in because if it wasn’t for my experience I had with Shre my opinions on the Naperville Blue Mercury location would have remained the same and I would have continued to tell friends to stay away from that location. Thank you Shre!

Yesterday, I had an extremely disappointing experience at Bluemercury. I stopped by to purchase a serum and requested assistance in choosing the right one. Unfortunately, the staff member who assisted me(a guy) was extraordinarily rude. His annoyance was palpable, which was quite shocking. I had intended to spend around $500 but ended up leaving with just a single serum due to his lack of helpfulness. It's clear that customer service is not his forte, and he should really reconsider his role in this industry.

The store manager should find a job for Raul in the back where he has no contact with customers or let him go. I went in yesterday to get some advice on eye make up. I was in the week before and purchased some eyeliner and lip gloss from this very helpful gal…who showed me how to appy the eyeliner, enthusiastically offered to try a couple of different colors on my eyes, shared her suggestions, and when I checked out, even threw in a couple of samples with my purchases she had thoughtfully selected. Having had such a positive experience last week, I decided to return this week to purchase the lotion that was a sample I had received last week and get some suggestions about adding eye shadow to my make up routine. Raul was not helpful AT ALL!!!! He was annoyed that I was asking him for recommendations. He stood on the opposite side of the counter and never offered to show me the shades…let alone what they looked like against my eye color and skin tone. And when I asked for his recommendation he evaded the question, and told me that the top were matte and the bottom were not…some shades had yellow undertones, some peach…but still he did not recommend a color based on my skin tone and that I wanted it to look very natural. So I selected my shade and then proceeded to the checkout where I noticed the brand of hand cream that was given to me last week. When I asked what the difference was between two hand creams that I was considering, his answer was curt…”Fragrance.” He rang me up without a “thank you” or “have a nice day.” My experience last week was so different: gal was excited to help me pick out make up/took time to show me what it looked like on my skin/offered suggestions/answered my questions/assisted me in choosing colors/threw in some samples/treated me like customer.
Yesterday: Raul’s terse words and body language communicated he was annoyed/bothered by my questions/he displayed minimum customer service to check me out (punched the numbers on the cash register and took me money)/treated me like I was an incompetent imbecile. I will have to reconsider patronizing this store given there are so many others nearby. I hope the manager will address these issues with Raul. Apparently others have had similar experiences.

Went in today and the guy working there killed my mood. So mean, rude and just too much attitude. We asked how much something was cause the price tag was on the back of a box that was kinda deeper in the shelf and omg he was so rude about. Basically almost threw it at us and when we asked how much it was kept saying what? What? What? Like what do you mean what? You deaf?
Honestly feels like maybe if you’re selling smth THAT expensive in Naperville than you gotta be nicer. Guess what? Big mistake. HUGE.
We spent our money elsewhere.

I’ve been Bluemercury customer for over 2 years now- always loved coming to the Naperville store( where everyone was so helpful and attentive). I went to the store last week to update my skincare routine- there was a gentleman working with 0 customer service. I came to the store to get some advice on one product or the other- in the end I was left on my own to read the prospects and he was pushing for one brand( cheaper) instead of introducing all of them available for the serum I wanted( it made me feel cheap). This week I went back to buy my full size bottles- another young lady in the store asked what I want- barely answered my questions and left in the middle of the conversation. I wanted to get my serums and everything, but I left buying nothing. Looks like I’m never going back to this Bluemercury location. Compared to what it used to be- very disappointed with past experience.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience at Bluemercury in Naperville! Kristen P. did an absolute beautiful job on my makeup for my wedding! She was so kind & talented, and made the experience so comfortable & pleasant. She is extremely knowledgeable & believes in the jane iredale line, which I now appreciate & love! Every time I look at my wedding pictures I will be especially grateful for Kristen’s work & my overall Bluemercury experience. Thank you!

As I know nothing about make-up, I'll rate this on my wife, who likes to come here and look around, but rarely actually buys anything. The store seems clean and well organized. The lady working was really attentive to helping the few customers with locating products and answering questions.

Wow. If you come in, pray that Raul is not working. Appears that you're bothering him, puts in the least amount of effort possible. Responds to any questions w one word answers. Tries to get rid of you quickly. Who trained this person? The owner should be sending secret shoppers in or doing direct observations.
Terrible experience.

Every time i visit there's something new & awesome to learn and EXPERIENCE. All the sales people know the products inside and out. They have (jin a kind way) shamed me to realize I have an infantile level of knowledge when it comes to skin and cosmetic products. It lures me to visit repeatedly to keep learning about better ways to care for my skin. Next step is investigating their Spa. I fear if I do I'll be hooked forever! Love this place!!!

I've tried to like this location for Blue Mercury. I just can't recommend it. I've never had a good experience shopping in the Naperville location. It is small, does not have the brands that Hinsdale has. Very, very limited. The sales associates there are mediocre at best. Trust me when I say, Hinsdale is by far a more pleasant experience!! Worth the drive from Naperville for sure.

I have visited this store 4 times in the last two months. I had the unfortunate luck of being served by Raoul on every single visit. The service was always on the frosty side, and if he had to assist with product recommendations, may God give you much patience and grace. Unless you know exactly what you are after, do not have Raoul serve you. He gets frostier if you do not just buy the first thing he suggests, or have additional questions. On my first two visits i thought he was having a bad day and excused him. But after four separate visits with similar unhelpful and condescending comments, i had to give feedback and switched sales person. The store and its products are fine. The service you receive from other sales assistants are fine to very pleasant. Just not Raoul.

Came in around 2pm on Sunday, June 18 with my two kids and was completely ignored by both employees. They were engaged with other customers but not a hello, is there anything you're looking for, I'll be right with you, nothing. I made it clear I was looking for a particular brand and at no point did either employee point me in the direction. I found the brand on my own. I grabbed the three items I needed that had a retail value of $180 and then started looking at another line. Still zero employee interaction. I heard one of the customers they were assisting with asking for a bunch of samples and right then it just clicked. I'm about to spend over $200 and can't even get an acknowledgment but these two employees are fawning all over a customer seeking free samples. Ordered what I wanted from the skinceutical website which randomly was offering 20% off. Honestly, screw this location. I don't know if it's because I had kids with me or if it's because I didn't fit the mold of who those two employees thinks are their customers. I won't return and highly advise others against shopping here as well.

I had a facial here and Madison was fantastic! She took her time and explained to me all the products she was using. My skin is glowing. I will definitely be back!

My first order from this shop is terrible! Can't believe this shop has such high ratings.I placed my orders online and most of the product came expired within 6months(they been sitting in the warehouse for almost 2years before shipped to me), some of them are even expired already.I went to this shop 2 times for a simple return and exchange. First night I went around 6:30 and the door is already closed, no hours to be found by the door but their website said this shop close at 7.Visit the second time, stood there for about 30mins because they need to call the customer service for return/exchange and then they messed up my returns with no compensation. I don't understand how this company made exchange and return so complicated. Will never order from this company again. Good luck!
