I had a really great experience working with Colbert. I came in wanting several dozen pictures printed and framed with some frames I had bought elsewhere. They were happy to discuss the project I was working on and offered lots of options to get the framing done. In the end, it was a very manual-labor-heavy project, but they did it well and in a timely manner. Plus, they were very polite and considerate throughout the whole thing.

I had gone there several years before to scan in some oversized family photos for my genealogy research. As part of that project, they had done a wonderful job scanning my rounded bubble (convex) photo without damaging it or the frame at all .(They needed to scan four angles and merge them together into one photo, which they did seamlessly)
I was pleasantly surprised to see they still had all my photos on file after all this time.
For this visit, I only had one oversized photo to scan. While I waited, I talked to the young man there about a project on his desk. Apparently, a lot of artists use Colbert's to make custom prints of their artwork and sell these at fairs and online. He was trimming some art prints. The paper was VERY high quality, and the prints looked as clear as if they were the originals. (The artist was also very talented, and their images were all obviously done by hand and not AI.) If you are looking to have art prints made, they are very experienced and high quality here.
For myself, the conversation took longer than the photo scan (which would have gone much faster had I brought in my externak hard drive instead if a USB flash drive). The results were very high resolution, as requested, but I had not anticipated that my laptop would not have enough room to open it (my bad).
My advice is to make sure when asking for scans, to find out the file size before leaving. LOL
Overall they were very professional and have always done great work for me. They were also recommended to me by a professional photographer in Oswego, who said they are the best place for scanning oversized photos.

I love the service and product I received at Colbert Custom Framing. Stephanie worked with me to get exactly what I wanted for my project. She developed a custom mat that turned out perfectly. Not every frame shop knows how to handle needlework but this shop does. I would trust anything to them after this, and seeing what they have on display. I’m incredibly pleased with this and I might have cried tears of joy when I picked up the final product. I highly recommend this shop. It’s worth every penny and more.

I can recommend Colbert's for frame repair. They did an excellent job on a framed picture that was dropped causing the corners to split apart. It's now good as new!
